NUFC Transfer Rumours

Recommended Posts

Not panicked, new owners, but Everton still need to generate money. They'll need a good sale to enable them to spend well, especially the amount of bodies they need to replace.

Moyes has done an exceptional job since joining, but they're so close to have a fucked side. Alcarez will be one of their crown jewells moving forward, getting him for £12m will be a superb deal long term.

Is Mateta achievable? It's not much of a punt he has grown to be an excellent centre forward for Palace so I imagine he would cost an absolute bomb but don't know if time left on contract etc. I also wonder if he'd want to come to play second fiddle. I think we're more likely to sign someone up and coming again with a bit more risk attached. Mateta would be great but doubt it

I’m not sure about second fiddle, well probably need to rotate as fatigue will come into it with league, cups, europe etc, go on splash the cash.

Yes will be plenty of chances get that, but we know who is going to be picked for the big games fitness allowing and that will matter...I do think we should have two high quality strikers though, I just think Mateta if he is wanting to leave (and I'm not sure he will, Palace seem to be on the up, have Europe now thanks to fa cup, although they are cursed to finishing 12th all the time), I imagine a club pitching him to be their main number 9 is going to attract. Who are we kidding Chelsea will sign him along with Delap and 3 more just for the lols.

Agree. This is the downside of having a striker like Isak. Not many aspiring strikers would want to come here to sit on the bench behind him.

You're probably looking down the Spurs/Kane route of buying experienced strikers towards the end of their career for a season or two like Llorente and loans like Vinicius. Wouldn't really have a problem with that, either.

"Newcastle still want a right-sided central defender, a right-sided forward, a young goalkeeper and possibly an attacking midfielder. They have an interest in Liverpool’s centre half Jarell Quansah, 22, the Aston Villa winger Jacob Ramsey, 24, the Burnley goalkeeper James Trafford, 22, and Espanyol’s Joan García, 24, as well as the Coventry goalscorer Jack Rudoni, 23." :hmm:

Probably as reliable as those dodgy Spanish tweets linking us to Garcia.

I wasn’t pointing fingers with that in mind. I just assumed that there wouldn’t be anything new in that. They normally just post the same thing over and over again.

I imagine and thought that if there  was something groundbreaking or new they would have made a more specified article.

Nobody knows for sure but I’ve seen 200m banded about transfer kitty wise? What’s peoples rough guess?

Think it will be around 150-200. If we have to sell some players at the end of the season to get even with PSR so be it.

I assume it’s pointless to even read that.

Says we won’t be in for Guehi as too expensive. Potential signings are Quansah, Garcia or Trafford, Rudoni and Ramsey. Totally goes against the (Edwards/Hope?) article that said we’re ready to move for Guehi and Mbuemo from not two days ago. They haven’t a clue.

The Hardy article is very downbeat. No chance of a “finished article like Guehi” links us to some very underwhelming names like Rudoni and Quansah.

can only hope he’s miles off.

Choosing to call bullshit on his article. I'm sure our targets extend beyond those which id expect of Sunderland.
