NUFC Transfer Rumours

Recommended Posts

As always I think we need to view players in a few different buckets before you fully have a stance on a signing.

*1 how player performing stats wise in their current team?

*2 could the player have played better with proper coaching and stability?

*3 does said player fit in our team?

*4 how does Eddie and the coaching staff take this player up a notch or 3?

*5 is he coachable?

Whether its Elanga, Barcola or Mbuemo - you could see Eddie making each of these players really deadly in our system, particularly those who are  open and willing to be coached.

Yep that’s the thing, one bad season and  your done. We could do with a few of the big 6 supporting yes teams dropping out of the premier league or actually showing some level of ambition. They need to realise teams like Newcastle, villa and forest are not the threat, it’s their big 6 buddies. If we had a season like spurs or Man U we’d be absolutely fucked, but they just get to go again.

Wishful thinking there another Red Bull part owned team are up in Leeds, the likes of Birmingham and Wrexham pushing for promotion next year, the likelihood of having close to 14 US owned teams is looking scarily close to coming to fruition in the near future.

I personally think all the noise around state owned clubs is a smokescreen likened to the hysteria of what might’ve happened had Corbyn bee elected, to have people conveniently ignoring what is actually happening by clubs with American owners (analogous to the Tories being incompetent and corrupt as fuck) . The English game is fucked if the new regulator doesn’t have teeth

If Sheffield United had won the play offs, they would have had the 14 American owned teams. Bournemouth’s American owner says that he believes in the pyramid and wouldn’t get rid of it, how true that would be when the idea is put to him and he has a chance of being stuck in the Premier League though.

I like how they’ve started adding “I’m told” and stuff like that as if it means they don’t have any role in establishing the actual truth.

Could just as well write ”Don’t shoot the messenger”

Really hope we sign the GK, RW and CB before our lads report for pre season training.

Presumably we’ll be buying these lads to be first choice so them having the full pre season to bed in and ideally start in our first game would help us hit the ground running.

given Osula pace and how we have seen him play so far, I think a year learning from Vardy would be fantastic. Hes a free striker who still has something to offer. Hes better than Wilson and DCL so im still all in on this one

I can't imagine we're ever going to get a better chance to get a homegrown third choice keeper to pad out our quota with Krul, Forster and Woodman all available on a free

And Alnwick getting relegated with Cardiff

I wouldn't be bothered if Pope was our first choice next season. Prioritise a CD, RW and FWD and I'll be happy. How about Vardy as back up striker?...cough...cough

If people stop blabbering on about Pickford (whom would never come here) then I'll consider stop the Vardy (whom at least is a viable target) talk and just silently hope to myself.

The Pickford/Pope debate has no place on this particular thread, wheras (I'll not mention him again after this) I believe JV who still has goals in him would be an excellent signing and is miles better than DCL who couldn't hit a barn door with a big fat whore.

In fact, blabber about Pickford all you want, I don't care. If people stop mentioning DCL, I'll give up on Vardy.

Been thinking about leaving as PSG keep looking at and buying players in his position. Worried about being overlooked.

He'd have to get a better haircut. Saying that, most players have daft looking hair these days. A number 1 or short back and sides only, new FA rule.

They'd be better by telling the truth and just admit it was 'some bloke in a pub'.

And somehow managed to still finish 5th. It’s an amazing achievement when you at what the teams around have spent in comparison.it

It’s about par imo. No Europe and Man Utd and Spurs having horror shows. We’ve got one of the best strikers in the world and arguably the best midfield in the league when all fit. The run from December was very good, but the first part of the season was fairly poor.

I think we need a thread called ‘close season  nitpicking pedantry and squabbling because there’s nowt better to do’ and an actual transfer rumours thread that consists of actual transfer rumours.

Close season? Don’t you mean closed season? I have always liked your contributions thus far ‘keeper lover, but when I see people wantonly disrespecting the letter ‘d’ and for that matter putting the words nitpicking and pedantry together in the same sentence without any consideration of the sheer redundancy of such overuse of what are from my point of view basically synonyms, it boils my piss, as it reflects total disrespect for the rest of us and how we use our time.

Fair do's pal. It's all about opinions and having a giggle. As a point, I wouldn't have DCL or Vardy. Pickford honestly dont know.
