NUFC Transfer Rumours

I really like Miley and think he's going to be very good.

However, I really don't think he's in position to be making these kind of demands for playing time already, if there's any truth to this.

Would be pretty ridiculous if he is doing so.

He's well within his right to want first team football, there's no where that says he thinks he should be starting is there?

We'll never unearth talents here if we aren't prepared to give talents the opportunity. Both Miley and Osula got criminally little game time this season imo. If they don't get more next season they should get as quick and far away from here as possible for their own sake.

With peace and love, the "he hasn't shown enough" crowd can go fuck themselves. Can't show anything if you aren't getting meaningful game time.

Same went for Chopra, Armstrong and Brayson.

I struggle to think of players who left because they weren't getting game time who made it.

You could actually point at Tino and Hall as the opposite. Tino actually said even if  his first season he played more than he expected.

Agree to an extent but the problem is obviously at what cost to give miley time? Easy enough to say osula should have more chances but miley... Not so sure due to the options in his position.

Also given the uefa homegrown rules, Miley's gan neewhere.

Tino and Hall had already had their breakthrough when we bought them, by being given enough time to show what they can do in the PL by Southampton and Chelsea.

Of course, more players will not make it than those who will, but we won't know until we give them a chance.

He's 19 and was coming off a long term injury.

He has to be patient and earn the time.

The manager clearly rates him highly and gave him a huge opportunity in the first team in the first place.

Talk of being willing to leave Newcastle to get regular playing time already, reads a bit mad to me.

Throw Kuol in then and Shahar you never know until you give them a chance.

Hall played 10 times for Chelsea, not really a breakthrough, hence why they sold him.

It took Foden 4/5 seasons to become a regular starter at Man City, the kids need patience unless they’re blessed with generational talent like Yamal.

Pretty sure it was only 3, definitely not 5.

Plus he was behind Toure, Gundogan, KDB, Fernandinho, Silva.

Miley is getting pied for Willock who has consistently under performed and even sometimes Longstaff who's marginally better than Josh Brownhill.

Not really, look at Anderson. It won’t surprise me if Miley wants to have a break out season like Anderson at Forest

Just been listening to that smoggy fucka Graeme Bailey on Loaded Mag and he was saying Mbeumo wanted to come here but we wouldn't go up to 60m.  Reckons he only come out and said he wanted Man U once he knew we wouldn't pay the required amount.

Probs just talking shite as usual though

He knows nought.

Everything he's saying about us is pure conjecture.

I mean he's a no mark journalist who is going on like he has sources around the world yet he writes for "Tbr football" formally tribal football which is more inaccurate than team talk

As annoying as it would be to lose him, you can’t say no to 30m pure profit for someone’s who’s years away from being a full-time starter.

It’s a sad indictment of modern prem football (PSr era) that even the idea of slowly nurturing a local academy product to become a first team regular and potential star is considered financially irresponsible. *sigh*

That's a terrible deal.

We don't need the immediate 30m we are in ok PSR shape we just can't get everything done this window imo.

If he has the potential both us and the club believe he has, he will be worth a lot more than 30m so selling him for such a fee makes no sense.

As we've qualified for the champions league again I expect our revenue for this coming season to be 400m, we are making very good progress.

Fair. I’d rather not lose him, personally.
