Everyone wanted Howe to get his way, so give him what he wants. He clearly rates him highly. As for the £50 million fee ... with 6 goals and 11 assists in the Prem last season, and 5 goals and 9 assists the season before, and only having just turned 23 this year, I'm not surprised. You like everyone man

Weezertron Posted yesterday at 18:26 Share Posted yesterday at 18:26 At this point I’m hoping we get knocked back enough with valuations that we’re forced to look at other leagues. In before the ‘how do you know we’re not already?’ ‘It’s too early in the window. Chill the fuck out’ etc etc.

Kimbo Posted yesterday at 18:26 Share Posted yesterday at 18:26 I doubt Forest would even accept £50m, I think they’ll push for 60. They’re fine with regards to PSR as far as I’m aware.
Scoot Posted yesterday at 18:32 Share Posted yesterday at 18:32 If Eddie wants him, I'm all for it. Every player we've signed since his arrival has been a hit 1 way or another so if he wants Elanga, that's fine by me.
Whitley mag Posted yesterday at 18:37 Share Posted yesterday at 18:37 I still cling to the belief that Eddie was behind the Isak, Botman, Bruno and Tonali signings, because as time goes by our transfer strategy looks very predictable and if I dare say boring as fuck. He obviously played a major part in them all, because of the level of input that he has in the process. That counts for quite a lot. There is good reason to believe he was also pivotal in pushing for Tonali, on the basis of what came out in the press at the time, with him being lauded as a "dream target". That being said, my feeling is that the others were likely earmarked by Nickson to a significant extent. I remember when Bruno signed it was revealed that Nickson had been tracking him for a long time. I think possibly with Botman, too. It baffles me a bit when people cite the above names as "Howe signings" except with respect to the fact that every deal we make is a Howe signing in a certain obvious sense. Ellis H Posted yesterday at 18:49 Share Posted yesterday at 18:49 There is a lot of “he did well against us, let’s buy him” in these transfer rumours. Hopefully we’re a bit more grown up than that.

When he has played upfront for Brentford, he's more of a second striker.. essentially just a little further up the pitch with more freedom to roam centrally around Wissa. Can't see him leading the line as a lone striker the way we play.

During Howes time we bid / signed / heavily linked with Botman, Ekiteke, Bruno, Isak, Diego Carlos, Szoboszlai, Tonali just to name a few. We are hardly just exclusively shopping in the British market. Edited 23 hours ago by dcmk
