Just pay the £60m odd for Mbuemo man. He literally covers two positions. If there's still a chance to hijack that deal we have to do it

Should we give him 200 grand plus a week as well?

I like Elanga and I'm pretty certain he'll do well.

Everyone wanted Howe to get his way, so give him what he wants. He clearly rates him highly.

As for the £50 million fee ... with 6 goals and 11 assists in the Prem last season, and 5 goals and 9 assists the season before, and only having just turned 23 this year, I'm not surprised.

You like everyone man

At this point I’m hoping we get knocked back enough with valuations that we’re forced to look at other leagues.

In before the ‘how do you know we’re not already?’ ‘It’s too early in the window. Chill the fuck out’ etc etc.

I still cling to the belief that Eddie was behind the Isak, Botman, Bruno and Tonali signings, because as time goes by our transfer strategy looks very predictable and if I dare say boring as fuck.

He obviously played a major part in them all, because of the level of input that he has in the process. That counts for quite a lot. There is good reason to believe he was also pivotal in pushing for Tonali, on the basis of what came out in the press at the time, with him being lauded as a "dream target".

That being said, my feeling is that the others were likely earmarked by Nickson to a significant extent. I remember when Bruno signed it was revealed that Nickson had been tracking him for a long time. I think possibly with Botman, too. It baffles me a bit when people cite the above names as "Howe signings" except with respect to the fact that every deal we make is a Howe signing in a certain obvious sense.

Ridiculous if Wilson gets a new contract

If Wilson gets a new contract it obvious thar Eddie has been drinking milk that's 5 days past it sell by date. Or maybe early onset dementia.

Feel like we rarely have concrete links with players abroad unless it's developmental youth players. All of our first team recruitment seems to be from the premier league.

Despite four first team players being recruited from other leagues?

People say this but which two positions does he play? When he has played upfront for Brentford, he's more of a second striker.. essentially just a little further up the pitch with more freedom to roam centrally around Wissa.

Can't see him leading the line as a lone striker the way we play.

Has Mitchell chucked it because all his rando forrins were poo pooed by Eddie?

Why would he?

During Howes time we bid / signed / heavily linked with Botman, Ekiteke, Bruno, Isak, Diego Carlos, Szoboszlai, Tonali just to name a few.

We are hardly just exclusively shopping in the British market.
