It's that kind of graft that got him to number one.

Tbf, he is the only one that literally never misses a match.

Thats the thing init. Spurs training ground and kit is 20 million a year. We would probably be allowed half that.

As Eales and Silverstone said, we shouldn't undersell ourselves atm by rushing into sponsorship deals. We should grow our brand and then sell ourselves when the brand is at its peak.

From a fan perspective we will say let take 10 million now and re negotiate later as the brand grows. From a business perspective that makes no sense whatsoever.

I get what you are saying but if the owners wanted to push some Saudi sponsors through you could easily put £10m through on a one or two year contract now and then up it to £20m once that brand has grown in the future. Better than nothing and just shows that they don't have the desire to fully maximise their revenues for whatever reason.

Im not referring to external sponsors. I'm talking about related party ones.

They still fall under fair market Value.

For an example spurs get 20 million for both training ground and kit sponsor, we will likely be approved half that or a third. We qualify again next season for the CL, do you think they will make it easy for us to renegotiate?  From a business perspective will it not be better to wait till our value goes up.

Its what the club has communicated to us fans. So I would say they obviously know the constraints involved, and have made a decision to wait. I will not be critical of that personal but I do understand why most would be.

Remember good business coupled with ambition leads to sustainable success like Man City.

Ambition without good business sense leads to Man Utd.

A third or that? No chance it's half at worst and even then it's better than nothing? 30m min We've lost out ok because of this.

Also, try and think pragmatically, if we can't use related parties who's giving us more?

And bro what is that analogy, you can't nail failure and success to such words, it's obviously much more complex than buzzwords.

Not to mention you are entirely missing the point im making which is simply if we to be "number 1" we will need the people making such statements to do more than they currently are.

Without trawling through previous posts, can anybody explain why we aren't in for Harvey Elliott?

Doesnt suit our style of play? Over priced? Would help finance Liverpool's potential approach for our best player?

I agree to an extent; because what you are suggesting is highly suspicious. The pple behind APT aren't mugs. These rules favour the cartel. Thats why I say the noises from the club on this, is to wait. Am pretty sure they would have weighed up you suggestion and decided not to push through with it (if we have thought it am sure they have)

Too small, slow and weak for an Eddie Howe RW or CM role

Lack of athleticism seems to be the criticism at Liverpool, and presumably that’s after being loaded with asthma medication.

We were told by Wor Mandy in her very 1st interview that our aim is to be number 1 in 5 to 10 years. We are in year 4. So there is still time and a pragmatic approach is reasonable if you look back on those 4 years. I believe we are improving year on year in our revenue and success as a club. Because of this, I think they know what they doing and that number 1 will be achieved by year 10 imo, if you look at the trajectory of the club right now.

From a fan perspective it is frustrating but from a business point of view it makes absolutely perfect sense, and the proof is in the pudding. Our revenue keeps growing hence our brand keeps growing as well. So am sure they know what they are doing.

And to add on, buying players off the back of performances in international tournaments is generally a mistake. Let alone a youth competition

Man City would be nowhere if it wasn't for years of just being able to throw money at it. Not to mention the 115 charges.

You can look yourself, if you think I'm going to list numerous players just for your satisfaction, then you're kidding yourself. The fact that you can seriously advocate DCL as a player capable of being a step in for Isak shows me you're just clueless. Also that you keep going on about priority positions, ignoring the fact we have just made a 50 million bid for Pedro, shows again that you're clueless. Now jog on and order your DCL pin up for your wall.

Yeah, you tell him brute. DCL isn't worthy of sitting on our bench. Jamie Vardy though......

Tottenham and Chelsea both heavily linked with Kudus, need to forget about him as an option.

Dibling or go abroad.

Hopefully we don't hear too much about any links with Kudus because it will guaranteed just turn into being walked up the garden path.

Ah OK, see what you're saying. I'm not sure I believe there are companies queuing up to sponsor our training ground or training kit mind. That's very low profile stuff.

And I don't want a stadium sponsor if it means changing the name.

If it gives us the ability to sign a top class players then they can change it to The Poundland Arena for all I care. If it doesn't, pass.

I did the full 7 day paper round as a kid. Up every day for around 12-14 quid a week. The thing is, I'd always get tick on juice and a sweetie each day, so I'd always end up getting paid about 7 quid a week after the tick was paid off. Sigh 😕

Is juice and a sweetie Scots jargon for crystal meth and ketamine?
