Jackson would be a decent signing but we wouldn’t be able to let Isak leave based on just him.

We need a replacement for Wilson not Isak.

Wasting 60 million on Jackson would be criminal, he’s fucking shite no matter how anyone dresses it up.

Remember when Rafa wanted that Danish striker Jorgenson? He was just a workhorse and couldn’t hit a barn door.

Awful signing and gives money to the very cartel who are shafting us.

Please no to Jackson, this would be a really, really poor move.

Whenever we play them and he plays, or I watch Chelsea play, if it looks like a move is progressing and I see Jackson has what would be a potential goal scoring opportunity, rarely do I feel worried. Think that sums it up.

He assisted Palmer and scored one against us in a 2-1 loss at theirs, no?[emoji38]

He’s absolutely fucking shocking man.

He’s had the position up front at Chelsea as his own for atleast 2 years now, and he’s absolutely fucking shocking.

He can’t run with the ball, he can’t hit the target when 1 on 1, he’s fucking shocking.

His agent must be amazing, there is no chance he’s a footballer, let alone a striker.

As a Chelsea supporter I agree with most of this. Had we had a competent finisher over the last couple of seasons then we would have almost certainly finished higher up the league in both seasons, almost certainly would have beaten Liverpool in the 23/24 Carabo Cup final.

I really hope you buy him and of course we get circa 100% profit( bought for £32 million) he isn’t worth it but hey if you become desperate then I do see him becoming an option .

The only thing I see  he has going for him is his speed. But even when he is at pace trying to join up with an attack his supporting runs are terrible often he occupies the space that the ball carrier is looking to get into.

This is absolute nonsense like.

There is legitimate concerns with Jackson, he does miss chances and he is a hot head who's a bit too easy to wind up.

He is a good centre forward though and Chelsea always look better with him in the side.

Problem is, I can't see Chelsea selling cheap.

I'm hoping the links to him are just journo clickbait. A striker who can't finish is never the answer, doesn't matter what the question is.

Just fuck the whole forward thing off and make do with what we've got and focus on other areas.  Anybody we bring in there now is detrimental in terms of overspend and quality.  Sure we wont breakthrough or challenge next season but were not going to anyway, thats only more justification to not just sign overpriced chaff

If you highlighted any magnified Isak' misses, he'd look like he can't finish too.

He has 24 goals and 10 assists in 65 games and has led the line for a top six club. He's hardly a donkey like some are making out.

You'd think the humbling we've had this transfer window would bring some back down to earth.

Wissa with Jackson is a horrible idea yes. As is Watkins and Wissa.

I really think we are in deep shit tbh.

Just get Samu FFS.

Having managed to get just 1 permanent deal done in 11 weeks I have zero faith in us 'Just getting any fucker', let alone anyone highly regarded. Lot's of excuses being made and pointing at PSR/Isak but we still had/have money to spend. Absolutely no reason why some of the other gaps in the squad couldn't have been plugged in the last few months. It's been a shambles so far and time left to salvage it is ticking by. Still maintain this window could well be one we look back on in 20 years time as the start of this beginning to unravel

I'm not huge advocate for signing Jackson by the way, especially at the prices quoted, but he's absolutely not shite. It's total hyperbole.

I actually think he'd be a good fit for us. But it should be a complete non-starter if he's replacing Isak or priced at anything above £50m.

Maybe I need to see some highlights of Jacksons goals then. Every time I watch him he always seems to find some way of ballsing it up.

Aye, he has become a meme for some of his misses, but 10 in 30 last season isn't shocking. If this did actually happen and he ended up leading the line for us I'd put money on him outscoring Sesko next season.

You don't need to wait 20 years to find that out

We are a shambles though it's true and even when you look around for someone to take responsibility your left drawing blanks as Mitchell has walked, It looks like Eales has gone and everyone is left head scratching.

That's the issue, there's no leadership in the football operation of the club.

Until a CEO and a Sporting Director come in, we're sticking square pegs into round holes.

Even when I'm not personally convinced it makes much of a difference.

Dof should be a counter weight to Eddie and his nephew but that means getting someone in who's of equal or better than Eddie which isn't happening.

And the CEO needs to be able to get PIf to act quickly and not fuck around wasting time, this is something Eales could never achieve, I reckon Mandy pulled it off because she was ownership and not just an employee.

This is my issue - yes, PSR does restrict us in many ways but it's too easy to point the finger. PSR doesn't stop us from having good communication between the people inside the operation day-to-day and between the club and the fans. It doesn't stop us from replacing important people off the field when they sadly fall ill and physically can't do the job any longer. It doesn't stop scouting from being ramped up so we're constantly looking for new players to improve the squad. It doesn't stop us putting structures in place to ensure there's clarity within roles and contingencies in case people move on. I could go on

The club is a mess off the field and we're now in a position where we've got loads more matches to play with a smaller, poorer squad and a transfer team who can't seem to get deals done. I know it's deeply negative but they've been here for long enough now to get their shit in a pile and they simply haven't. It's been blown apart this summer and I think unfortunately it's almost inevitable we now regress on the pitch as a result of the incompetence off the pitch, it's and humiliating and pathetic window so far. Blaming PSR/Isak/Mitchell is all well and good but we've caused many of our own problems imo
