Moose
From what I've seen (very little) Jackson seems to be a brain dead goon. Can anybody convince me that there's something to work with here? If so, why would Chelsea be binning him off for Delap and Pedro who on paper aren't exactly head and shoulders above him!

Chelsea have a history of getting rid of quality players who go on to be amazing elsewhere. I think he’s suffered from being the main striker in a club that is complete chaos. He has pace, he has good awareness of his teammates and he can drive with the ball quickly. He needs to work on his decision making more than anything else. It can all be very rushed. He’s a £40m player currently, he’d be worth a lot more under a top coach but Chelsea don’t deserve a penny more than that

BrianSwan
£55-60 M probably. Realistically Chelsea are beyond Newcastle now, only Howe peforming miracles made it close, I don't think they'd consider you much of a rival for Champions League given how deep their squad is and refuse to sell to you. Plus the CL is 5 spots most likely for England next year.
BennyBlanco
Gas lighted into buying one of Chelsea’s off casts. What a brilliant fuckin shower of shit window this is. Basically been told where to spend our money. Fuckin wank.
gbandit
If you decide to only buy top players with a primary focus on your own league and you do this in conflict with teams who have more money for transfers and wages to offer, and they have more historical success than us and have more infrastructure as clubs it’s no surprise we’ve arrived at this point. It’s a logical conclusion
aussiemag
Has to be Ramos and Wissa for me.
J7
Jackson for £60m and Chelsea not far off doubling their money on someone who has failed is pretty mind blowing. Especially as it puts him in the ballpark of Šeško and Ekitike in transfer fee.
r0cafella
Given the striker market Chelsea are going to absolutely rinse us.

Sibierski
Is there no strikers across Europe that are worth the gamble? Just seems so outrageous we can only conjure up like 5 recognised names, many of which the clubs want rid of Is there an Isak in a European League that’s just scored 4 goals but previously hit double digits? Someone that has a unique set it’s worthwhile to gamble because clubs will have no data on how to deal with them? Jackson, Ramos, Watkins, Wissa, Vlahovic. The market can’t be that fucked. Sibierski
What about Arnaud Kalimuendo looking at his goals and age? Not sure what type of player he is. But 5 years playing in Ligue 1, means he should be an experienced forward that has still some growth in his consistency / output?
mouldy_uk
Maybe we’ve been playing 4D chess all along. Put in bids for obvious / top level strikers to draw out the other big teams who worry about missing out, drain their budgets and all the while keeping those low price continental gems on the back burner, ready to bid at the last minute and take the league by storm. He’s a fairly young and inexperienced striker who ended up leading the line in a billion pound team. Not suggesting we should buy him but I think he’s young enough to improve significantly.
