I think the issue is they capitulated on the price and look like mugs, 150+ these two coming in would probably be seen as good work despite shit circumstances.

 

Obviously that isn't the reality, but trying to state that Jackson would be fine in a world they got what they claimed they were asking for Isak.

 

 

 

The thing is if we’ve negotiated that he doesn’t get his loyalty bonuses as is being reported. Then to the club we’ve effectively made the same profit in PSR as if we’d sold him

for £150m.

 

This way both sides of this horrific mess can push the optics that they’ve won. Liverpool haven’t “overpaid” but Newcastle effectively have the same headroom cleared as if we’d sold at that price.

Allows for a change of system less reliant on swapping strikers in and out.

A player similar to Arsenal's Merino, even a downgraded version would be perfect for us now. Primarily a CM, could play in almost every position, even as a false 9. Hard to find such kind of player tho.
