NUFC Transfer Rumours

I agree that he's not the type of player we usually go for, I just think having Wolte now, something different on the wings would help.

Isak used to run in behind all the time, Wolte won't be doing this, but will drop deep and be able to play in our wingers. Gordon/Elanga isnt prolific enough to make the most of that imo (early days..). Said it before but we need our version of Mane and Salah to pair with Wolte

I don't think its wingers as much as roles. Players who can go wide but happy to spend as much time inside if the forward drops deep, playing in the gap.

With Woltemade we are moving more to role than position.

Burn and Schar are both 33, we will need 2 CB's in 1-2 years

Neither are showing much signs of decline tbf, I wouldn’t move them on just because they’re 33/34. I’d be in favour of bringing in a 18-20 year old prospect, but the likes of Scalvini that will cost £50m and demand a first team place seem unnecessary right now.

True. But in 2 years which I said, Schar will be a few months away from 36 and Burn 35.

Not saying getting rid of them now. But we need a succession plan and not just waiting till they fall off a cliff

Agree on  a £50m singing being no good. Dream for me would be Acheampong, but fear he's playing to well for us to have a chance next summer

I'd say Schar is starting too, and when you go into your 30s, age doesn't wait for you. Seen with many players over the years where they will just suddenly drop off, KDB being the most recent example.

Think it's only natural you move on Schar end of this season for a younger CB, especially since we've just dropped £40m on his replacement.

We thought the same of Madueke last summer who's now at Arsenal, thinking Chelsea have any kind of plan is madness in itself

We are better than PSG, nah but why do you think that, i must ask.

He's consistently starting at LW for one of the biggest clubs in the world and winning every trophy possible.

Should get off EAFC and re-join us in the real world.

Matias Soule, i would be over the moon with him. 3 goals 2 assist in 5 games in Serie A so far, left footed RW, skilled and creative with a great shot. Can play AM too.

Antonio Nusa would be great too, dynamic player. Different profile than our wingers we have now.

Been a fair bit of rumours that should Wissa return fit and come back into the squad without any hiccups, then Frankfurt will be back in for Osula and he'd still be interested in joining them.

If so, have seen this name do the rounds a fair bit with Newcastle and he seems to fit the profile of a younger prospect with the physicality and experience to come in as a third striker and right wing option that can be brought along and developed and play some minutes in the right circumstances.

Certainly looks an Eddie Howe type player from his clips.

Do we expect us to dip back into the transfer market this winter?

I assume we still have funds but its never a good window to do business in but feel like we still need something a goal scoring midfielder would be ideal is osula goes a new 3rd choice?

Will it be no one unless we get a serious long term injury?

I guess it may depend if league form continues to stall or if we move on in the champions league.

As you can probably tell I am really not sure. Hoping who we have step up and it becomes less of a need more just a bonus if something is there to get.
