NUFC Transfer Rumours

Recommended Posts

Chelsea don’t have Europe next season either, and they say they don’t offer crazy wages anymore. We shouldn’t be losing anyone to them.

This wasn’t in the brochure when we were purchased by the richest sovereign wealth fund in the world.

Getting our best players picked off by ESL6 flotsam.

PSR regulations weren't in the brochure either tbf

That's the problem with our players after this season, the majority will be unhappy with the way we haven't managed to find a solution all season to stringing a good run of form together.

And may think it's time to move on from this newcastle under eddie.

Tbh if you’re a player and you’re looking for reasons that things will be a lot better next year, I’m not sure what you would come up with. The only change I can see is we’ve hired Ross Wilson, which is a bit of a so what.

They were actually. Introduced 2014 but it didn't impact us under the FCB so we as fans sort of ignored the detail of the regulations.

Maybe Bruno wants the move. Been here 4-5 years won us a trophy and fancies living in London. Can't blame him, he's done his part, now might want a new challenge and payrise.

Is there any evidence that they would have gone stratospheric with the spending if the rules were never brought in?

I mean, it's looking increasingly likely that we'll be releasing next years kit without a sponsor on it.

We don’t have a sponsor for next year?

It's as much their fucking fault as anyone's like. If they'd bother to put a shift in against some weaker opposition we'd probably be playing in Europe next season.

That's what players are like nowadays though.

Don't doubt that at all. Would be refreshing to hear some of them take actual responsibility for being weak as piss most of the season. And not just on their Insta for sympathy.

Jesus Christ, this summer will be depressing.

How are these two things linked?

Could get even more depressing in Autumn.

Well they aren't even pumping the maximum amount allowed into the club now never mind in some fantasy world where PSR/FFP doesn't exist.

If we're struggling to find a front of shirt sponsor at an amount we like, there's nothing stopping PIF (or one of their companies) from stepping in. In fact, the rules on that were loosened quite recently.

You could argue they’re looking for a good sponsor from the open market, so the club get the biggest benefit.

Yes I assume that's exactly what they're doing but it again suggests that we are being run as a business investment rather than a project to throw money at.

For the record I'm absolutely fine with that, not least because it's the money-pit projects like LIV Golf that are getting canned.
