At that price I feel we will look elsewhere. Spending £70 million for GKs seems too high.

No doubt they will offer him for Tonali or Bruno.

They may even use him to lower the fee for Anderson.

Nothing about his performances for Man City indicate he's worthy of being the most expensive English goalkeeper of all time.

He's been really good for them when he's played hasn't he?

Same applied for Pickford at the time Everton spent £30m on him but I think hes more than paid them back and more.

Anyway, doubt we'll be chucking £70m combined on two goalies this summer.

If clubs match our asking price for Tino, Hall and Tonali we could have money burning a hole in our pocket.

For what its worth, what would people accept for those three, £75 million each ?

Just because of the price?

Would it not be a poor use of funds to spend big on Trafford and relatively big on Jaouen? Especially considering how young they both are ?

It comes a point that selling that many players in the same window would be so damaging and risky that any money you get for them wouldn't be worth it.

I could see selling one of them but not all 3.

Accept?

Tino - £70m

Tonali - £85m

Hall - no price

I assume that means Hall isn't for sale at any price, rather than free...

It bloody better mean that!! 🤣

Regarding Trafford, he had his chance to come here and preferred City’s bench, which says a lot about his character. I’d be loath to spend double on him now after a year of bench warming.

I don't think he anticipated being on the bench when he signed tbf

Depends how you look at it imo.  Did he know they were going to go sign someone else a week or two later? Or was he sold a dream that he was going to be their number 1 choice?

He'd only end up at Liverpool anyway...

If we get another keeper this summer I would expect someone much older and cheaper than Jaouen, rather than slightly older and much more expensive. Maybe it will be another loan.

Definitely but who would you want instead?

A more experienced keeper? Trafford has the potential to be England number 1 for years

Pretty much all of this post is absolute nonsense

Thats not really accurate from what's been reported. It seemed he went there thinking he'd be #1 then very soon after he signed, Donnarumma became available to City and supposedly he's not happy to stay there as the #2.

Aye, I don’t disagree, I just don’t think we are in a position to spend big on two keepers whilst we have other needs in the squad.

Whatever. If you go to such a club not yet the finished article you pretty much know what you’re signing up for. Of course they were going to make a move when a world class player became available.
