Think he's worth it at that?

Reports we've agreed with Bakayoko and his agent.

Now just negotiating with PSV. Trying to bring the price down with his current contract up in 2026.

When he was linked last year, I watched a few of their European games and I really liked him.

Think around £35 million would be a very fair price, yeah.

Still a young guy, but has nice experience in a top Dutch team going for the league, and also in Europe too.

That 30 to 40 million price range has been good for us. Decent enough to get us some quality players without breaking the bank.

Be interesting to see how this would change the Bruno/Tonali dynamic which seems to be clicking at last.

He plays on the right wing, so it shouldn't do.

Should improve our overall play though, as he's much better than the current options we have there.

Yeah just clocked that Kaks. No idea who I was thinking of as I was sure he was a 6!

Gakpo went for 42m euros and Madueke 35m euros

What type of player is he ? Not seen him before, his numbers are impressive but the Dutch league isn’t the best.

Technical/Skillful and powerfully built.

My favourite thing from what I saw was that he plays with his head up and isn't just a head down running winger with no awareness.

No. Don't know that site and article doesn't mention an outside source.

I like Bakayoko, but he's been quoted as only considering a move to the very top clubs challenging for silverware, so I doubt we'll be able to land him.

His underlying stats were not as impressive as Minteh despite being a little older, a lot more experienced and a more polished and technical (less raw) player. Minteh obviously played for the better team which helped.

The big difference for me is Minteh had the double cheat code of electrifying pace and eery composure in front of goal plus workrate that I thought would translate well into the PL. I wondered if Bakayoko had the raw pace to trouble fullbacks in the PL to the same degree.

But he did look technically superior. Good feet. More Madueke vibes who has done a good job at Chelsea. I just don't love his profile of winger.

A similar fee would be a good deal.

Ibrahima Bakayoko was an absolute stud for me on Championship Manager 2, and even though they're different nationalities and absolutely no relation that's enough for me to hope this goes through. That, and a good injury record.

£10.5m from Montpellier, £50k p/w sorted.

what is that profile? If you have time to share. Curious mate.

I like that he’s direct with the strength being a key factor of his. Can see him being a workhorse on top of the technical skills.

Still feeling confident that Minteh will turn out to be a big success for Brighton even if his start there has been underwhelming.

Some bits of him against Arsenal last year. For those that would like to see what he looked like.

Looks like he knows when to release the ball after beating his man which is quite promising. ASM would go back and try to beat him again.
