There must be better value abroad cause honestly that's pretty mental. I swear Mamardash cost Liverpool like £35M?

There always is. I hope the scouts who saw the value in Isak/Bruno & Tonali are cooking up something

Trafford and Dibling would start for us. Delap wouldn’t and Huijsen probably wouldn’t right now but would get a lot of game time

I like Dibling but if it's laughable to suggest a 2 goal winger is usurping Murphy (who I don't rate) off from a 20+ G/Aseason

Remember when Almiron scored goals for fun in that one season? Then he turned to shit.
Murphy is having a purple patch and long may it continue, but we can't bank on it. We need a better quality option on that side of the pitch and if they have to sit on the bench for a while behind Murphy, fair enough.

I’m not saying he’d always start but he’d be able to start for us. His stats would look very different in a different team. Howe doesn’t even start more seasoned pros immediately like Bruno and Tonali so no one is coming in and taking Murphy’s place straight away anyway

Murphy is not a purple patch. He’s played the same way and got good goals & assists for his minutes the last 2+ seasons. Almiron was a purple patch banging in volleys and running through teams. Murphy’s playing the same low crosses and passes into feet he always has. He only falls away if Isak does and fails to convert them. Plus, Murphy’s got growth potential if Barnes regularly starts left wing and plays higher up as Barnes’s finish loss of chances plus his mam’s dinner

I think Trafford could well start, but I take your point.

It just takes a year or so with Eddie though. Tino and Hall didn’t start for us despite being in this price bracket, and look at them now.

That's another issue , other clubs play them if they're good enough, but Eddie takes his time , is that the right way , I don't know, just gotta look at that youngster 19 ? playing PSG ? may be wrong g, but you get my gist .

I've only got Fifa 16, imagine the team on that. Eesh.

Wouldn’t you also have to drop down to the Championship to play as us as well?

Edit: No, season before.

Said it before as a bit tongue in cheek, but after the Ipswich game at weekend, get Delap deal thrashed out and agreement done in principle whilst he’s there and the club. And it’s a case of waiting till service is officially finished to confirm it.

We are in agreement, we need a starting RW but that should be someone established with quality not a young prospect who could very easily disappoint

Mbeumo. Killing 2 birds with 1 stone. RW/CF cover.

He is very, very good. I'm just very wary of putting too much money in one position, but his position duality does make it much more a goer. I shudder at thought of Isak injured, so be nice to not have that.

Bryan Mbeumo:  £50M RW/Striker

James Trafford/Lucas Chevalier (Lille): £28M Goalkeeper

Marc Guehi/Ousmane Diomande (Sporting CP):  £38M RCB

I am not seeing many options for RW replacement, especially one who can be a striker too.  We could go for someone to sit behind Murphy for a bit like Francisco Trincão.

Not sure Dibling would start for Howe immediately. I haven’t seen him much but based on his age and experience level.

I can imagine there are people released from local academies plying their trade in the Northern League, who watched him in bewilderment as he continued to have a fairly high level career, despite not actually being good at anything 🤷🏻‍♂️

Even between them, that lot wouldn't have enough cells to make a heart.
