NUFC Transfer Rumours

Recommended Posts

Not at all stressed about our spending this month.

it is impossible to know what we do or don’t have to spend from a FFP perspective and not spending this month may mean better options next month.

will put faith in with the club on this one

Yea, we won’t at all go backwards by having Barnes as main LW and needing to use Willock or Joelinton LW as back up :D

If for some reason we sold Gordon for big money, we’d need to replace him for big money.

It will move us forward if it gives us more room to sign a top quality player for the right and better cover for Isak.

He has to deliver as he is the one clearly in control of transfers now. Last summers sh** show was down to either Eddie or Mitchell. None of us know which one but it was definitely one of them who were digging their heels in and at odds with what the other wanted. Only those inside the club will know which one it was.

I highly doubt Eddie did sign them it was more than likely it was Nickson /Mandys team/Ashworth. And if he did well then let’s have some more of that type from Europe as there must be plenty of gems in Europe for a reasonable price.

Every club has to sell players. You can’t just keep buying and buying and spending and spending without selling to balance the books and reinvest.
Liverpool sold coutinho and replaced him with 2-3 top signings and won the lot. Villa sold grealish as a bottom half club and used the money to start to build a top 6 squad. Even Man City and Chelsea a few years after their takeovers sold plenty of top players for good money to keep things ticking along financially. You can’t sit on a 500m pound squad and then plead poverty.

You signed up in April - 6 weeks either side of that we won a cup and qualified for the Champions League (again). Cheer the fuck up ffs.

We were all so bummed about not signing anyone last summer, this thread on deadline day was a total dumpster fire, but Eddie totally came through for us, winning a cup and getting us into the Champions League! This past season's been our best in, like, 50 years.

We're in good hands, mate. We'll be alright. Relax.

The ruck do we want Theo Hernandez for ?

Have him for a season then sell him to Saudi ? Get me the goalkeeper.

These are the signings that keep Isak & Tonali happy. Have Hall pushing Joelinton as the LCM (better possession based team as we want?). Cheaper to buy a world class LB like Theo Hernandez than a world class CM

I guess there's an argument that we only have Hall as a natural left back, especially if Burn is seen as primarily a centre back, Livramento is likely to be first choice right back next season, and Matt Targett has eczema. Wouldn't be surprised if we brought a left back in, just not at those prices

Lewis Hall's a left back, not a CM, and hasn't played there much in top-level football.

I reckon that rumour's bogus, the guy's not reliable should have been posted in the twitter nonsense thread, however it would be better to sell Targett and get Theo, though. That gives us Hall and Theo at LB, and Livramento and Trippier at RB. We should not move a player who got an England call up at LB to CM.

TAA comes to mind. What a disaster that was.

This 100%.  Easy flip and a profile that should justify us getting the ridiculous fees thrown about to all the other teams in the Premier League.

Let's get this guy in

Remember how we got burned buying from Man U almost 2 decades ago? So I came up with two rules:

1. Don't buy anyone over 23 from a cartel club.

2. Don't buy anyone who was a regular starter there and is now looking to move on.

This is a huge no. We would like to close the gap on Liverpool, we won't do that by buying their deadwood.
