NUFC Transfer Rumours

DCL for free would be a decent bit of business. With our fitness Gurús we might be able to get some decent displays out of him.

I have no doubt Eddie would improve him twofold.

If Eddie can make any player better why don’t we start buying average ones and leave him to his magic?

In fact, why not just buy a load of completely shit players and stick it all on our best manager in decades to fix it.

It'll at least be a test as to whether Howe is any good after all and I'm all up for that kind of prankster window.

I honestly can't believe people are still quoting DCL. Are you really panicking that much and that desperate?

Certainly he can replace Wilson? We need bodies in, and DCL coming in to replace totally useless Wilson is a start. Of course we need a good RW more than that, but we can't buy them all now.

We sign Trafford and maybe one more. If we’re lucky. Howe must be pulling his hair out - performed near miracles with a fairly stale squad and asked for the recruitment to be quick and precise - he’s been badly let down.

Piss poor from the club so far this summer. The word rudderless has been said a few times on here because it’s absolutely spot on.

Howe and his inner circle are the ones leading negotiations.

Moving quickly doesn't mean just paying whatever clubs ask for, we will still have a budget in place after all.

The speed factor was more regarding PIF sign off on the deal once an agreement was in place from all parties. If you recall, this was previously an issue that was mentioned.

However, we haven't even agreed with the selling clubs yet, to then go to PIF for their final sign off.

Think we just need to let Howe and his guys work through their list of targets.

There's been a fair bit of concern about only going for Prem targets, well the way things are going, we'll soon have to pivot to targets abroad, and so people will get what they want.

Don't believe for a second we don't have other options outside the Prem. Nickson has always been strong in that area, and there will be other options that he would have presented to Howe and discussed with him.

It won't be the same as it was with Mitchell last year, where there was less reception to the targets he was maybe presenting, because there was no relationship and trust there yet.

No he can't, you need players who are actually fit to play, not another injury ridden player. Sorry, but it's unreal that you and others are even thinking he would be acceptable, even as 3rd choice

He played 26 games last season, 32 the season before. Properly injury prone like isn't he.

I don't think its unfair to suggest Howe performed miracles with our squad last season tbf.

We finished 5th, that's exactly where a lot of people thought we'd finish at the start of the season.

We won a trophy for the first time in forever, that in itself was a miracle.

We need a hell of a good 6 weeks like to be anywhere near prepared for next season.

Not trying to bedwet or anything, but seeing sides signing players and spending big whilst we're fucking around with a keeper we don't really need and losing out on Pedro is slightly worrying to say the least.

Cant wait for Tuesday. July most come soon. seems like lot of our main targets will be signed by rivals with much more PSR room. Guehi , Joao Pedro would have been rgreat additions but we cannot outbid Liverpool or Chelsea neither in fees or salaries.

really hope we look at Bundesliga, Ligue 1 lot of quality players around for normal fees. within PL its brutal hard to get value signings.

Dcl has been linked with us for ages now got to be some legs to that story you'd think.

I wouldn't mind him as a Wilson replacement if it freed up money for our most needed areas to fix.

I’d argue another striker is one of our most needed areas tbf.

Nowt to worry about man, Eddie and Mad Dog will turf Mitchell out tomorrow morning and rip the back pocket off his Farahs with the transfer gold card in and we'll have a few worldies in by Friday.

I think he'd do for now until we get the right forward and centrehalf sorted maybe for a season or two.

And use our money wisely to bolster the squad for the extra games this year.
