Barnes must be sick as fuck, the most likely to score out of all our fit forwards and still can't get a game.

It's a bloody disgrace that he's been sidelined for that Scouse cunt. I don't get the manager's fixation with persevering with Gordon so often. Take away those recent couple of pens and he's not registered a goal or an assist in the league since Southampton away in fucking January.

There's a pattern of him raising his game for Champions League fixtures and then absolutely tossing it off in the league.

Even when Gordon has raised his game, his best games have still been worse than Barnes' best games this season, and his other performances have been significantly worse. Stat-padding with penalties won't change my mind on that. 

 

There's really no way to justify shoving Barnes to the right to accommodate Gordon midweek then dropping him altogether yesterday. Much like the second half of last season, we look a much better and more dangerous team with Barnes on the left to me.

All the talk about X Y and Z needing leeway because we won a cup...well Harvey Barnes was our left winger that day. And he was fantastic. Unfair it's often forgotten.

And his place was because Gordon fucked up in the Brighton game. Harvey Barnes is more a legend than Gordon can ever be. And he gets dropped even during good form. Pretty disgusting, really.

I'd say every winger we've had in the history of the club has been inconsistent at best 

 

it was the same with Ginola, Gillespie, Robert, HBA, ASM now Gordon and Barnes 

 

they've all gotten pelters in their time here

even if Gordon had started the final and won, I doubt that would somehow make his scousness more redeemable for some here on current form

Barnes looks quite a bit better technique wise than any of our other wingers. He needs to be the first choice now, the rest can come in when he starts having stinkers.

Other than the recent pen conversions he's done best part of fuck all in all comps for nearly a year, you're going back to the Arsenal semi finals in February. He's had a few better showings in the CL which is more frustrating when he then completely drops back to being turbo shit again in the league. Almost like he can only be arsed to show up on the European stage.

 

He's a busted flush, one season wonder and blathering on in front of the Sky cameras about mentality and yoga and posting empty apologies on social media after yet another of his nothing performances isn't endearing him to anyone.

dare I say he played well against Spurs and Burnely recently (apart from the simple task of converting those pens)
