Newcastle United vs. Arsenal: 4/11/23 @ 17:30 (Sky Sports)

Recommended Posts

Team pretty much picks itself here, with the only question being which two out of Longstaff, Joelinton and Willock he plays. My guess would be Longstaff and Joelinton. Gives Willock some time to recover, more defensive protection against Arsenal and some sort of attacking fret from the bench.

Would be nice to see Hall and/or Livramento get some minutes after their performances yesterday tbf

you’d swap Trips and Tino there if you’re playing them both.

Trips on the left to shit down Saka isn’t the worst idea on the world

Yeah. Almiron and Gordon could switch sides too

I'd rather Trips shut down Saka. Don't want him getting sent off! ?

That Le Mans car in the 1995/96 season - it’s funny how the continental ‘sporting club’ thing hasn’t been revisited in England.  (I know Coventry & Wasps etc, but it hasn’t been in any real sense).

24 hours ago, this was a game that Arsenal edged us out.

We've pretty much rested : Bruno, Trippier, Schar, Lascelles, Wilson and Burn. Notably, these are some of our more aging players.

Arsenal have lost confidence and aren't in a great mental space either.

We CAN win, I'd take a draw, place needs to be a cauldron.

Pope

Trippier

Lascelles

Schar

Burn

Longstaff

Bruno

Joelinton

Miggy

Wilson

Gordon

Key subs: Livramento, Willock, Hall.

If we can get a lead, the likes of Krafth, Dummett, Richie and Co have shown that they can help us see out a game with professionalism.

We are in a decent spot. Tough game though.

Why have Arsenal lost confidence ?
