Nee idea if legit

It is legit.

They’re a public company so all transfers have to be announced like this.

In fact, I am all for this transparency with every transfer.

So a minimum of £14.5m. Good chance it gets pushed up close to £20m.

I thought he looked decent on the ball, quite aggressive at times with pressuring attackers back to goal. Fairly quick. Just very weak in the air and in proper battles. He would often back off a player when they were dribbling direct to goal. Which really annoyed me. I think it’s a weakness of Schar’s at times, too.

It didn’t seem like he had much chance of breaking through here. But I don’t think he’s a bad player.

Decent business, for sure.

For all we know Juve could have gotten a good deal here. A win-win for both parties. Who are we to judge seeing as he's never playing  Only thing we can conclude is that he's not better than Hall at LB or Burn at CB on current form.

You just know all this gloating is going to backfire spectacularly

Fully expect him to head in the winner in the Champions League final.

Decent player in my opinion but not needed. Looked like a centre halve at Left back and an average centre half at centre half. Had some pace but looked quite unsure of himself on the ball.

Often thought when he played left back, he was too narrow and allowed players to come at him, a little like he thought he was playing in a back three, not a traditional left back role.

Really good money for someone that was clear never gonna be more than a sub. Good luck to him...

"Making the math...

1. The best worst case scenario: Kelly costs 18,5M (Loan 3,8M + Obligation 14,5 M plus 22,7M bonus)
2. Worst worst case senario: Kelly costs 24,8M (Loan 3,8M + Obligation 14,5 M plus 6,5M bonus)

The "funny part"" is that the "worst worst case scenario" is the one where Kelly actually turns out to be good "

The fact that he's not better than BDB should be enough to suggest that this isn't a good signing for Juventus.  It's Juve we're talking about - signing ok-ish reserve CBs from NUFC feels like a massive fall from grace.  Scirea, Ferrara, Chiellini ... Kelly.  Hmm.

Feel like that harsh on BDB like, he's been utterly immense this season.

I love BDB, but again we're talking about Italy's most successful club domestically - in what is traditionally the world's best league for defenders.  It just feels like a massive, massive drop off.  If BDB signed for Real Madrid tomorrow I suspect we'd raise eyebrows - Juve are a club that view themselves to be of that stature.

It's a relatively affordable mid season pickup to help deal with a number of injuries at the position.

It's not like their viewing him as some marquee signing.

Agreed, but it doesn't seem any less bonkers to me.  I'm a child of the '90s, ultimately :) - top Serie A clubs picking up unwanted PL defenders for decent money just seems crazy to me.

Tomori did well in italy for a short, unspectacular cb at Chelsea. Not saying Kelly will be a success there, but it's not impossible either.

Big D has been one of our standout performers this season. None of our other cb's are ahead of him atm.
