Palmer and Gordon the best wingers in English football last season but classically on the bench.

I was just this saying this to my dad - our bench is insane

It's a great position to be in like. You can absolutely argue that Gordon and Palmer should be starting, but you'd have to bench Saka and Foden which feels equally mad

Palmer hasn’t been playing as a winger…

with Trippier on the left I think our left side is always going to struggle to be fluid. At least with Foden he’s left-footed so it’s not all just right-footers down that side.

Of course he is. But he’s been hurt for a long time, no?

Hasn’t he played right wing / #10?

I’d been thinking in the last few days we should go to a back 3 with Walker as RCB and Trent RWB. Get Trent finding the switch to Gordon. Can see the logic with the line up he’s gone with, though it wastes Foden imo.

Barely missed a game this season. Gordon has been injured too

started the season out wide but has predominantly played as a 10. Chelsea started playing better when they permanently shifted him there and he’s too lazy defensively to play out wide imo.
