As if people are still displaying such faux outrage over that remark from Dubravka.

It's not faux. I'm still fuming that on signing for them he didn't immediately take a shit in the centre circle and wipe his arse on the corner flags. Very disrespectful of him after we let him go on loan.

You don't understand. That piece of shit wanted playing time. Playing time! Who the fuck did he think he was? A recent PL #1 who even most fans agreed was still more than adequate to keep that role?

I for one now trust the Daily Mail, who attributed it being a dream on his behalf, because they now fit my narrative.

It wasn't faux at all. A lot of people thought the way he acted about it all at the time was weird, and it was.

Those people need to get a grip of themselves.

Does that mean it wasn't faux, but they shouldn't be outraged?

I reckon it's pretendy outrage. Those people need to get a grip of themselves for still posting pretending outrage over whatever Dubravka said two years ago.

KI reckons it isn't pretendy outrage. If so, those people need to get a get grip over still being outraged over whatever Dubravka said two years ago.

Either way, everyone needs to grow up. Pack it in. Knock it off and have a day off.

I don’t remember anything Dubs said but I was unhappy with him bottling any competition for his place and wanting out. I would have sacked him off permanently if possible.

There was no competition for the place, though. He'd just had a brilliant 5 months end of the 21/22 season, did nothing wrong, and was dropped first game. No getting back from that. Was the right call, too as Pope was superb, but I don't blame Dubravka for giving it a go elsewhere. Just didn't happen for him.

Fair. Those people need to just relax and stop taking themselves and everything else so seriously, then.

Nah, the people still talking about it now should tbh. Football is all about petty grievances around tribal lines. If a player ruffles feathers then fans should care rather than not. Down with this 'I don't care about anything because I'm just a chilled out dude' craic that comes predominantly from across the Atlantic and in reality just ends up with nothing being sacred and everything being sanitised and boring. Give me Dubravka's head.

I love takes like this. Whenever there is a player who fans want to get rid of who is hanging around (e.g. Sancho or Ryan Fraser in our case), he is castigated for not wanting to play football and only thinking about the money.

Whenever it would be better for us to stay as backup but the player wants to leave so he can play first team football (e.g. Dubs), the player is castigated for not wanting to stay and fight for his place [emoji38]

FWIW I wouldn’t make that first criticism, if a player has a contract they can do what they want.

I don’t even think Dubs ‘shouldn’t’ done what he did, it’s up to him. But I don’t have to like him.

TBF if it wasn’t Man U I probably would have reacted much. And because he moved to sit on someone else’s bench and have even less chance of starting games. But I never expected him to play for us again.

If he’d gone somewhere to play it would’ve been different.

Agree with all that. I just don't think he did or said anything that ruffled any feathers.

Whether you think he should have or not is obviously a different story, but he did annoy people with the way he went on at the time, there's no two ways about that.

What people are you on about here btw? Fans or players/staff at NUFC?

Fans. Don't think it was a minority thing either really, would guess it was a 50/50 thing.
