AdoptedGeordieFromPompey Posted Monday at 10:34 Share Posted Monday at 10:34 Watched him on Saturday and he was class. Excellent distribution but made one incredible double save mid-way through the second half where he blocked the first before springing up and denying Matt Ritchie what looked a sure goal on the rebound. Burnley do set up extremely defensively and they are a bore to watch but the back four all played well. The lad they got from Man City (Egan Riley) could easily play in the top flight. Didn't put a foot wrong. Trafford though looked like he has all the attributes to be a top top class keeper for a decade or more.

Yes, I've been impressed with Egan-Riley also, could easily make the step up.

Hope his price hasn't gone up too much based on his performance this season after we were quoted about 20m last summer
Toon No9 Posted Monday at 12:01 Share Posted Monday at 12:01 Burnley has only let 9 goals against them in the league this season! Closest to that in the Championship is Leeds who has 19.
Kid Icarus Posted Monday at 12:04 Share Posted Monday at 12:04 I've seen highlights and read bits on here about him looking slightly dodgy, but every time I've watched him live he's looked fantastic imo, especially for England.

As I’d imagine his price would go up again. He might even want to stay if they go up.

KaKa Posted Monday at 12:59 Share Posted Monday at 12:59 Isn't this the guy people were raging about us being linked with over the summer?

I don't think it's a question that he'd be a great talent with lots of potential who could grow with us, hopefully become a mainstay for years to come, like Botman, rather than a ready-made elite player like Bruno/Tonali. SUPERTOON Posted Monday at 13:19 Share Posted Monday at 13:19 Fwiw, people’s main issue/questions over him are his ability coming for crosses. It’s a weakness in his game, Burnley fans themselves say the same.

Football fans in general aren't very good at judging goalkeepers.
Smal Posted Monday at 13:33 Share Posted Monday at 13:33 sorry for stats noncery but conceding 9 from an xG faced of 18 is impressive whichever way you look at it really

Tbf, Given appeared to be permanently welded to his line for crosses into the box, and close range headers were definitely a weakness of his. It didn't stop him being an absolutely fantastic keeper for us mind.
