By November 3rd we'll have a much clearer idea of how high we should be gunning this year. Tough final month, but altogether that's about as good as you can ask for. It's set up really nicely for us.

Everton home and away scheduled for weekends is almost unheard of. Away no doubt will get moved to the Monday night.

Both Liverpool games are midweek so Merseyside midweek stays.

How many home cups draws off the trot was it ?

Luckily they’ve been silly enough to keep ten Hag in.

So all is not lost for another season of them getting out of jail with loads of tight late victories. (As in they can’t get that lucky again)

Everton away is the last game before an international break so no chance of it being a Monday night.

Didn't we play Southampton on opening weekend in Steve McClaren first game?

Yeah I think we did. We won 4-2? Unless I'm thinking of a different game.

It was 2-2.

The 4-2 game was a couple of seasons earlier but was in February.

Six and two threes really. You can argue his signings have been shite and he plays dour football but at the end of the day it's about winning things.

And you can argue that his two wins have been completely unexpected and lucky as fuck! Our final we were on a horrific run of form and never turned up. And season gone City just didn't turn up either, possibly one foot on the beach or one eye on the Euros.

However if it's meant he is to remain for a few months longer then happy days, cos he is undoubtedly shit.

You make your own luck in football. Us not turning up in our last three cup finals had nowt to do with luck. Trippier fucking up in injury time against Chelsea last season had nowt to do with luck either.

Undoubtedly shit but he's won more than our last 20 managers put together.
