Just came across this episode of Ben Foster’s podcast with him from June.

Obviously prior to him signing for us, so nothing NUFC-related in it, however he speaks incredibly well and comes across as a very good guy. Not hard to see why he’s a good fit for the role we’ve given him.

 

He also speaks, albeit very briefly, about keeper distribution, which I found bizarrely interesting.

I’d imagine Dubravka goes if and when Trafford comes in.

 

Vladdy’s the one that is kinda here when he shouldn’t be, but not much we can do about that.

No idea how we plan to balance the squad for the champs league. We need 4 academy players and we have one (Miley). 
 

So we’ll need to name a 22 man squad for the champs league effectively. 
 

Forster or Woodman on a free would have made loads of sense.

Miley doesn’t count as an academy player due to age. 
 

But effectively doesn’t make any difference at present, as we’d name 21 players on our A list and he’d be one of the ones on the B list.

He’s not going to play bar a disaster, and whilst probably a decent enough bloke/pro, he isn’t really the kind of keeper that a lot of clubs seem to want as third choice.

 

Hopefully Dubravka can still get his move to Saudi.

Let him play In the early rounds of the cup? I mean do something with him, if not we are both pissing away any potential value and increasing the likelihood of being stuck with him for his entire contract ala Hayden and Lewis.
