Gazzaschicken Posted Tuesday at 18:32 Share Posted Tuesday at 18:32 Wilson's finished like need to start bringing him on rather than Wilson now. Wilson's legs have gone he can barely make it up the pitch now
Kanj Posted Tuesday at 18:59 Share Posted Tuesday at 18:59 CW just looks really shot in terms of physical ability; he was strong as an ox last season and the one before when he was out there.
Thumbheed Posted Tuesday at 19:45 Share Posted Tuesday at 19:45 You can see all the raw ingredients a mile off. I'm genuinely excited by him but he's got to learn arguably the 2 most difficult things, decision making and finishing. Everything else he seems to have in abundance. London Mag Posted Tuesday at 19:55 Share Posted Tuesday at 19:55 Disagree. Plenty of enthusiasm and pace but little ability. Plays like his bootlaces are tied together. Don't see him making it but then again I was similarly harsh on Joelinton before the midfield switch so what do I know😁
STM Posted Tuesday at 19:59 Share Posted Tuesday at 19:59 He was like a headless chicken IMO. Someone needs to calm him down at the right moments.
Astroblack Posted Tuesday at 20:06 Share Posted Tuesday at 20:06 Not really impressed tbh. As far as "wild/raw" strikers, prefer Lua Lua who I wish we never got rid of. Don't think he'll ever reach that level. We'll see next season, though.
gbandit Posted Tuesday at 20:09 Share Posted Tuesday at 20:09 How anyone can make a confident judgement on Osula is beyond me. The only thing I’d be confident in saying is that he’s a loose cannon and that doesn’t necessarily fit with Eddie’s approach or most managers’ approach. However, there are easily enough aspects to his game to be a success and if he doesn’t make it under Howe it’s hard to imagine he’ll make it under many managers
Astroblack Posted Tuesday at 20:13 Share Posted Tuesday at 20:13 Hope I'm wrong but the minutes he's been getting makes me feel like Eddie doesn't have much faith in him.
The Prophet Posted Tuesday at 20:16 Share Posted Tuesday at 20:16 It's like Lewis Hall didn't happen.

Like we haven't learned to exercise just a little patience and see how things turn out. If this coaching staff can't straighten him out and smooth the rough edges, i'd be surprised if anyone else could.
Thumbheed Posted Tuesday at 20:30 Share Posted Tuesday at 20:30 Think you can fairly assess a player on the sort of attributes he has, pace, control, dribbling, workrate etc. I'm not saying he played well or has played well in the past, but I don't see anything fundamentally wrong with his skillet and in fact has a number of desirable qualities I honestly think he can make huge strides with game if he improves his decision making skills - which is a broad category- but also his composure in key moments. He's certainly created a number of half chances for himself which is a skill in itself and a strong indicator of a players quality. There's definitely a player in there imo. Skeletor Posted Tuesday at 20:38 Share Posted Tuesday at 20:38 He's barely played tbh. Maybe he'll have a Lewis Hall second season. Maybe he won't.

Weezertron Posted Tuesday at 20:51 Share Posted Tuesday at 20:51 What do you do with him next season? Another season like this one would be a waste for him. He's behind Isak, Wilson, Gordon and maybe even Murphy up top.

Weezertron Posted Tuesday at 21:28 Share Posted Tuesday at 21:28 Just now, The Fountain said: Love Wilson but surely he'll not be here to be behind next season. Thats fair, but Wilson has rarely been fit this season and Osula still hasn't gotten the minutes his development requires.

Bedding him in. There's a talent and I think he'll be a regular used sub next season.

Conference League and he could get a decent amount of minutes, so keep him around. Europa League and would depend on who else we got in/who was up for loaning him. AyeDubbleYoo Posted Wednesday at 12:48 Share Posted Wednesday at 12:48 We need a striker signing and get Wilson out. Maybe a veteran but not as injury prone as Callum. Then Osula and new guy can collectively form the backup platoon to Isak.
Kanj Posted Wednesday at 12:51 Share Posted Wednesday at 12:51 He’s an absurd raw skill set, keep coaching him and he’ll come good under Eddie.

This - I go off the principle of 2 players in each forward position with Osula your bonus 7th player who covers all 3 - he’s a very good player to have in the squad and will have greater minutes next season - doesn’t need to be loaned -,let him learn under Eddie
The Butcher Posted Wednesday at 13:27 Share Posted Wednesday at 13:27 Lewis Hall had played and showed that he could play at the top level at Chelsea. Osula's never done owt at any senior level. Don't think it's fair to compare them.

Hall made 9 starts for Chelsea at the back end of the season when there was nothing riding on it for Chelsea - I don’t think it’s enough of a sample size really (even though at the time I thought he would be ideal for us!) AyeDubbleYoo Posted Wednesday at 13:50 Share Posted Wednesday at 13:50 IMO Hall looked class for Chelsea but nobody remembered that when we weren't bringing him through quick enough.
