When he first came to Swansea on loan he didn't play too well, we wanted to send him back.  By the time his loan finished he was one of our best players.

I could only see a small strip of pitch when I went to Palace, and I couldn't see when the ball went in the air. 

 

Obviously have a soft spot for the club and love the area though, living there for years.

They're not even historically the sixth biggest club in London - I'd put Charlton and QPR ahead of them - at least they've both won a trophy.

I think a lot of supporters of other clubs haven’t yet come to terms that this isn’t Ashley era Newcastle anymore. Most of them probably can’t even remember a pre-Ashley Newcastle.

They always seem to be a total nothing club to me apart from the occasional relegation they rarely seem to push past mid table at best or do anything particularly interesting.

 

Might be something to do with the fact I've yet to actually see us have decent game when they're involved. (Know we've had a few decent results but always missed them) my most consistent memory of any Palace game was when the whole crowd was so bored they resorted to making paper planes out of pepparami leaflets and trying to hit the pitch
