Got this is from Reddit, here.

What number do we think Southampton enter at this season?

I’d be surprised if they’re not top 6.

I'll take between Derby and the mackems, think they'll end up on 12-14 points

feels like the Prem is the best it’s ever been in terms of quality this season. rough on whoever gets promoted, especially the likes of Ipswich who weren’t really ready for it at all. just shows what a great job McKenna is doing.

unfortunately the gulf in class is getting wider each season, because the Champo is the worst it’s been in ages.

The champ the best it’s ever been IMO, just the top end sides are so far ahead of rest of league it’s broken. Then the gulf to the upper lower half of prem is huge too.

Something will give in future seasons because the outlay in the championship top end is daft to chase the prem money. Stoke for example would be long folded as a club if the local bookies didn’t own them.

That's not because of issues in the championship, the gulf in quality from the established premier clubs keeps moving further away from the yo yo clubs bouncing between the two,  and as the clubs drop they them use the parachute payments to push back up again but without the financial ability to compete b and establish themselves unless they do what forest did and spend big and risk the penalty in hopes they survive.

Probably none, but that’s more to do with the gulf. Leicester best that came up and should be doing better, but they lost their manager and main CM (who’s training with Chelsea reserves). When a top end Championship club has that happen, there’s not much hope.

Forest have survived and that’s on two 36 point seasons and spending way beyond their means :D Been very fortunate and should now use it as a chance to establish themselves as one of the 9-15 sides where they can build a huge gap to the Championship.

It’s easy to forget the talent that’s in the Championship. Only other season Gykores was playing in there.

Over the coming seasons the odd side will survive that comes up, but that’ll probably be more down to the chips falling nicely. Prem money has broken the English game. Probably should have a premier league 2 and two leagues of 18, but then that would proper kill off the lower divisions so can’t see EFL clubs ever voting for something like that.

What they mean is they badly miss Saka.

How the fuck can the manager of Premier Leagues 1st placed team have that opinion? Anyone with a brain and basic football knowledge knows how stupid this is. No way he actually thinks that.

We didn't have Bruno or Schar against them. Every team has injuries, most teams has key players out, and that's the point. They were raving about beating us 4-1 when we had 12 or 13 players out last season. The main reason they're complaining now is because they're not used to having more than 2-3 injuries at the same time, while all their opponents usually have more.

It was the same when Odegaard was out. Heavy reliant on one or two key players

Then they should rather whine about poor squad building rather than playing the victim for having a completely average injury list.

If it weren’t for ffp the bet365 lass who owns Stoke would probably have a go at getting them promoted. As it is, they won’t survive if they’re promoted. Football is becoming rubbish across all the leagues, and all so Crystal Palace, Brentford, Brighton and other unworthy teams can stay in the Premier League with no owner investment. Id say the Championship is at a low ebb as the quality is so poor compared to lower mid table of the prem.

By the way.. They got promoted through loaning a bunch of players who they lost when the promotion was secured. It's a miracle that they have even survived, even taking the spending into account.
