He'd be an upgrade on Murphy and allow Tino to overlap more.

He wouldn't be transformational, but he'd improve the first team.

How does he allow Tino to overlap more? He's right footed isn't he, so will also prefer to go outside?

In general play he is similar to Murphy and we want to replace him.  He’s more explosive and quicker than Murphy but apart from that he offers nothing more.

If we are in the attacking third in a non transitional situation he won’t be able to keep hold of the ball well and drag defenders out of shape to open up space for others . He’s not a 50-60m player as he’s limited in many areas.

Not worth this much money on a slight upgrade on Murphy.

Playing devil's advocate here but elanga only turned 23 in April and Murphy is 30 maybe it's not about someone different to Murphy just a younger replacement Howe can hopefully improve elements of his game.

There’s no doubt that Howe could improve him. But he’s not suddenly going to become a player of high level technically.

If he was high level technically with those athletic attributes he'd be twice as expensive.

Murphy prefers to play wider. He wants to occupy the same spaces as the full back.

Move on. We can't afford to pay over the odds. Also resent gifting Forest again after the Anderson farce.

Gifting Forest? They saved us!

OK, but Elanga won't in our setup? I don't know, I'm just assuming since he's a right footed RW.

We're already a really good team. We need to be more consistently really good against better teams. He'll help. Our coaching team will make him more effective than he already is.

I can see how his attributes would be an asset against the better teams, my immediate concern is dealing with the Fulbrightfordmouth type teams I.e. the mid table, spreadsheet shagging southern nonces who we always struggle to break down.

Irrelevant to say as it’s pretty obvious aye! It doesn’t mean that we have to get a snail that is technical like HBA. But someone on one of our flanks that offers more, and something different. Doesn’t mean a slow player.

I don't particularly want him but I don't mind if the club do. He's like a younger, better Murphy so will hopefully contribute a lot.

I was expecting a left-footed wide forward who cuts inside more though.

Thinking the same. There wont be many better counter attacking sides next season than us, but Im not sure other CL clubs would go after him.

Just to add, I’d be more open to Elanga if we get someone in like JP who can play between the lines a bit more. Because that would open up more space for our wingers than our current setup does while also giving us more variety in our game. Even then I would prefer a different player, especially if it’s much more than 40m. As we evolve and become a better team there will automatically be less transitions for us. Especially at home, as well as the non top sides away.

We also need to improve in general play when it comes to ball retention and controlling games. Also to conserve energy. That makes a massive difference over a season when it comes to both points as well as avoiding fatigue too often.

He just has to have a higher technical ability than Murphy tbh.

Absolutely no fucka is interested in coming here like. Not sure if it's because of the owners or the impression that it's still shite up North. You'd think players would be falling over themselves to join the party. Even fairly average players aren't bothered. Bunch of cunts. The journos can fuck off as well. Having my life everyday with their made up bollocks.

Erm, the bid was rejected. Elanga hasn't had a say yet

Where's our Luke with the exclusive?

He’s on holiday. His parting words were “things usually happen when I’m away”. Looks like he was right again ;)

He does or is at least capable of cutting inside a lot though surely?  His left foot is very good. He must have one of the best/most used weak foots in the league.
