Our best players (Botman, Bruno, Tonali, Isak) are all from foreign leagues. Dan Burn has contributed around 10x as much as Botman since he's been here... Very fast, our front there Will be a nightmare for the opposition, no high lines against us! I am all for It if It is in the 40-45M range Yep no high lines against us from many teams. That’s when we will struggle.

Just look at the likes of Ekitike who we scouted and is now flying and being linked with a huge move. Maybe we need to trust the scouting system which has brought us our first trophy in 70 years and Champions League twice in 3 seasons? They've barely signed a dud since the takeover This has absolutely nailed it. Close the thread and stop whinging.

Don’t want either

The College Dropout Posted yesterday at 10:35 Share Posted yesterday at 10:35 People tell about Forest’s over performance. It’s the same for the players. We have to ask ourselves which teams we struggle against, and it’s not imo the kind of teams where Elanga would make any difference whatsoever. Do we beat Everton, Bournemouth, Fulham, these kind of teams because we have Anthony Elanga instead of Jacob Murphy? I don’t see how. I don’t think he’s better than the Murphy of the previous two seasons, and he doesn’t provide us with anything we’re missing in the squad in terms of profile, so we’d still need to sign another £40m+ player in that position if we want to actually compete for things imo. I also think with some time and coaching you could ask Gordon to play on the right and you instantly have someone who is better than Elanga ever will be in pretty much every regard. So, £10m-15m as a rotation option that eventually replaces Murphy as second choice? But we already have Osula who can be that anyway Long story short I don’t think it would be a good signing at all, sorry

Mbeumo would have been great, but maybe we just have to face the fact that the players who are most in demand at any given time won't be available to us yet. If Elanga does sign, then I think either Gordon or Barnes will leave, and I reckon it will be Gordon. I agree that we have difficulty in breaking down teams who come to defend because our players generally aren't technical enough when it comes to passing and controlling the ball through tight spaces. Maybe Grealish on loan, playing as a number 10 would help. Don't understand this thinking at all why would we shift gordon? If we did that we'd be back to square one needing another winger. I think the price for all footballers is ridiculous. My point is that if people believe £50m for Elanga is acceptable then I'm not sure how they think £60m is ridiculous for someone who is 3 years younger with similar output and has won a major trophy while scoring in the final. Bear in mind Napoli's opening offer in January was reported as £40m which was immediately rejected. I'd say it's likely we settle somewhere in the high 40's with heavy add ons and clauses.
