not so much for their analysis but there's no effort to try and be clever or condescending;

I haven't seen it properly, but that's my opinion of it as well tbh. The Joelinton one is 100% a penalty though, absolutely shocking from the ref to not give that.

Gordon doesn't dive, it's a penalty.  Remember this also went to VAR.  You have also been on the piss all day.

Not pissed at all and more importantly not bias. It’s never a penalty. If you’ve ever played the game at any basic level that’s never a foul. You are either clueless or bias.

Maybe bigger shouts elsewhere but certainly not that one.

The games gone soft. Etc. Etc.

It absolutely has. Thanks VAR and thanks for the draw today. We will suffer when we play say ermmmm...[picks name out of 5 team hat]...Arsenal (h).

I thought that was a penalty, at least over the last couple of decades. Would've preferred he just buried it though - though also not, cos I thought he was offside and wouldve only been half celebrating.

Is that the first time we've had one of those cameras behind the penalty taker?

As I said before, I wouldn't mind if that kind of penalty was ruled out as a dive, but that would mean we'd have a LOT less penalties in general nowadays.

Standard stuff. Left foot gets caught and Gordon tries to make it extra clear as he hops over with his right. The lack of Man City complaints tells it's own story.

VAR has made it a case of "Is there contact" Well...yes. There was. To Paul's point though, is that enough to go down, well...no, not at all. However, players are trained to win such decisions now rather than them simply being given. It ha been known as well, for honesty to work to players' detriment nowadays too. Sad state of affairs. FIFA should have doubled down on protecting refs but instead chose to back TV and Money with all this misguided VAR nonsense and now are being "legally" conned instead.

Played the game at a decent standard actually.  I also never said you were pissed.  Lineker explained it well.  Why should Gordon jump over the goalkeeper?  Gordon is caught by the keeper, simple penalty decision.  Did I mention it also went to VAR?  It's been a long day for you, go to bed.

Doing well to get tripped, which he was, at full pace when simultaneously changing direction and not fall over regardless if you’re looking for a pen. We’ll see far far softer given against us at some point this season.

You said I’d been on the drink all day ‎

Why? Because he wasn’t going to score. He wasn’t caught by the GK. AG manipulates any contact and even then does a poor job of it because it’s minimal at best.

Never understand why it’s so hard for some fans to have an honest opinion when it means it’s not in our favour.

Pleased as punch we got it and converted it. However if I was sat in the pub with a Man City fan I’d be telling him it’s a very soft penalty. Would hate it given against us.

Don't understand why people are arguing over one that went our way so much. Remember that fucking Jota one at Anfield last year? If that's a pen, the Gordon one was a fucking stonewaller.

I know who hasn't played the game.  I still never said you were pissed.  I said "you've been on the piss all day".  There is a distinct difference....... M'Lord.

It’s definitely a pen, unfortunately we know a player just has to beat the keeper and get a touch on his foot to get a pen. Whether that’s right or not you can debate, but it’s a penalty under any recent application of the rules.

Agreed. For the record the Jota one is more of a penalty than today’s. As much as I hate admitting it. Jota never a penalty personally but GK guilty of the slightest of contact towards him. Today it was all on AG initiating everything.
