Just a few things I noticed from Wednesday night:

We are 10x better in transition with Willock on the left.

Kelly is better at CB than Dan Burn.

Tonali is better as CM than out on the right and needs to be our maestro.

Hall is ridiculously good and improving every game.

Keep those changes and we stand a chance tomorrow.

I think both are similar TBH, Tonali is press-resistance in that he's great at popping the ball off quickly and not allowing people to close him down.

I agree. Tonali generally plays the ball on more quickly, Bruno can take too long and put himself and therefore the team under unnecessary pressure.

I think teams have started to close Bruno earlier and make sure to get about him. Means there should be a gap somewhere else.

‘Yes, it’s good news on Gabriel,’ Arteta said at his pre-match press conference on Friday morning.

‘We have a training session today. If he’s able to do that he’ll be in the squad.

‘Riccy [Calafiori] and Martin [Odegaard] are out, definitely. With Ben [White] we don’t know yet. He could not train so let’s see what happens.’

I think with Gabriel playing you have to start Burn

The most frustrating part of Bruno's game is his preference to win a free kick in the middle of the park over releasing the ball early.

I actually tend to agree with a lot of that overall.  The fact Chelsea played an entirely different XI, most of which seemed completely uninterested has to be factored in.  The coach didn't even seem too arsed about going out.  They only made one sub and didn't even bother bringing on arguably the best player in the league on recent form to try and get something out of the game.

Bit of a small sample size of one game to say doing the above is going to suddenly improve our performances.

I don't think Burn will be dropped as they are incredible from set pieces and Howe loves his leadership and as a player.  I certainly wouldn't be against trying the same midfield.  Bruno has to start though and will that upset the balance on the right side with Longstaff coming out.

This is the issue we face, I agree its a small sample size but there was definite improvement. The Bruno/Tonali issue is something Howe needs to work out, because putting Tonali on the right negates a lot of his positives and dropping Longstaff, for all the abuse he gets from our fans, greatly affects our balance.

Man, we're not even in Europe and still the squad is struggling with injuries. Do the players not warm up properly?

I took it that he was talking in the past tense, so he talked about Isak’s toe and Gordon’s groin injuries that they’ve got over.   They aren’t injured just that they’ll be assessed like everyone else will

Good. I think patience with Isak's injury niggles is wearing thin now. It wouldn't be an issue if we had a back up striker who we could throw in with confidence on the occasions he is out.

Listening to Eddie’s presser I get a feeling we might see Isak on the bench with Gordon up top, Isak replacing him second half, or vice versa.

Now that Klopp has left, Arteta is clear ahead of everyone as the most despicable manager in the league ,I would love another win with a debatable goal just to see him and the Arsenal fans in meltdown again.

Hope we're on full WUM mode tbh. They seem easily agitated and wound up by their relentlessly stupid fans and cunt manager, so getting one of them sent off should be a priority.

Despite it being a 12:30 kick off, SJP should impose a minimum of 5 pints drank per fan for entry imo. Joelinton or Bruno to smash into one of their odious players early doors and get them into a game that sends that Captain Black lookalike cunt into tears once again.
