Beer fuelled crowd, after a great for them international break for a lot of our players, going to be well up for it

Beer fuelled on a Monday night in November?

Respect the commitment to the sesh, but that feels optimistic.

I just hope the fans (and players) don’t turn up expecting to win. We should win but it’s never ever a given.

Unfortunately expectation is the enemy of a decent atmosphere.

Obviously things can happen during the match that will contribute to the atmosphere, but it’s no surprise that the best two atmospheres (by a distance) this season have been Man City and Arsenal, where expectations were probably at their lowest.

Makes sense to go out early, just to beat the rush hour traffic like ;)

Felt as though we'd smash these lot a couple of seasons ago, and they turned up with a game plan and held us to a draw.  We also needed a couple of soft penalty decisions and a late Barnes inspired comeback, to beat them late on last season.  Expect another close game, maybe 2-1 Toon.

Neither penalties were soft like.

Two really tough games but if you lose them both you're sacked. That's harsh.

Aye if that’s the criteria they should have just replaced him before the international break.

Great for us though, I was worried they would sack him immediately following the international break. We've caught them while they are still drifting, need to make the most of it.

Feels so rare that we run into an opponent in a muddle like, usually we get them just after they've been shite for ages, sacked the manager and got the caretaker or new manager bounce.

Pressure on ahead of the game.

Seems mad not to pull the trigger after the last game, when they could use the international break to ring the changes. Now to give him a two game ultimatum on the eve of the most relentless run of fixtures of the season in two games they might lose anyway.
