Lost one game in the last 5 and we’re ‘weak as piss’ and the ‘mentality is all wrong’. Incredible.

Christ knows what Man City’s mentality must be.

I know we’re strong second favourites on Wednesday, I fully understand anyone that thinks we’ll get beat, but the whole attitude of we might as well not turn up, it’s going to an annihilation, is just ridiculous.

Come on mate, we've been fkn dreadful for most of the season. And I'm not bothered about City either. I'm not saying we might as well not turn up, I'm just being realistic. Supported for too many years to not expect the almost inevitable. It's just my opinion after all and I truly hope I'm wrong, I'll be ecstatic. But Liverpool look really strong and hugely impressive going forward. It'll be a massive test to not concede at least a couple.

Of course, and that seems a more realistic assessment than ‘we’re shite and gonna get battered’*

*obviously I’m wildly paraphrasing for effect and know you didn’t actually say that.

This is would’ve been a game for Kelly and Kraft. Shame Kelly has had a underwhelming start here and Kraft injured.

Need mobility more than anything in that back line.

Only hope we have here is they've only got 48 hours to recover before going again after two big games.

I think it will be quite close.

We had 2 weeks to recover before West Ham and were shit.

Fair enough. We aren't shite, just playing like it. Something, actually lots of things, seem very off with the whole squad. No idea what it is or why but it's alarming how we seem to have lost our identity. I do trust Howe to turn it around though. Hopefully it'll be sooner rather than later.

I'm pinning a lot on that we've turned up for the home games V Chelsea, Arsenal and Man City.

Going off both teams latest form then it should be a stroll in the park for Liverpool.  However, we do seem to pull off a decent performance against the better teams.

We’ll give them a game. They’re obviously favourites but nothing in Howe’s time here suggests we’ll roll over and give them an easy 3 points. We’re dangerous at home against the so called ‘big teams’.

They've done the double over us every season Howe has been here.

And which of those games did we roll over and give them an easy win?

All of them except Isak's debut game in 2022. Particularly disgraceful performances in both games last season.
