Newcastle United 3-1 Brentford [LCQF] (18/12/24)

Piece of piss in the end, that. Another fairly poor opposition but that's two organised, professional performances in a row with some good quality finishing in both and signs that we can score goals from set pieces and against sides that sit in.

Let's take that exact same attitude and control to Ipswich, please

Trippier for Hall switch didn't work.

That sub always irritates me since Tino ends up moving too, always seems needlessly disruptive. Few times it's happened now I think.

Good performance and result tonight.

Also think Livramento looks like he might need a rest. Been poor tonight and was miles out of position for that.

Not surprised he was out of position. We were still supporting attacks from the full back positions and Osula gave it away in a dangerous area when we had good possession deep in their half.

Tbf, Tino played 60 mins last match Hall the full game. Makes sense at 3-0 up to rest Hall there.

That was a decent performance against a heavily changed Brentford.

Reliant on set pieces still. Need to do better in open play.

You are utterly pathetic.

Fucking hell. I thought I was negative.

We had plenty of chances from open play where we were a few inches away from a great finish or a well worked goal. Leicester was the same.

We’ve had fuck all from set pieces for ages. I’m glad we’re finally scoring from

them and causing the other team problems.
