Arsenal to me have always been a gentlemanly and honourable club. Easily the biggest and most admirable in London

Until Arteta came along anyway.

They used to say Arsenal was the club of the 'establishment', and that's probably largely true today. The 'gentlemany' label was forever sullied when dodgy David Dein took control of the club in the late '80s and the conniving, scheming and naked greed that followed.

Arsenal's ancient history is rather shameful due to archfiend Henry Norris:

Dates have been confirmed for Newcastle United's two-legged Carabao Cup semi-final against Arsenal.

The Magpies will travel to the Emirates Stadium for the first leg, which it has now been announced will take place on Tuesday, 7th January, with kick-off set for 8pm GMT.

And the return leg at St. James' Park is now scheduled for Wednesday, 5th February, with kick-off in that game set for 8pm GMT.

Great news he might be out, but didn’t he do his usual hobble off after being pocketed by Hall in the last game?

It’s a hell of a task to try and ‘pocket’ him at the Emirates though. Big bonus for us he’s out.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta was asked if there was a fear Bukayo Saka will not return before the end of the season:

"No [there's no fear].

"I'm very optimistic he'll be back before the end of the season."

Five months!? Was there a rumour his hamstring had disintegrated?

It gets worse: Mikel Arteta says Raheem Sterling has injured his knee and is also going to be out for many weeks.

Need to sack this cup off Mikel mate. League is far too important to risk losing anyone else.
