the way their arrogant fans are talking on their shite forum you'd think they had the worst injury crisis ever and all refs are against them

most of them not bothered about it

really hope their fans' negativity transmits to their players and we can take advantage

seeing us play without Bruno though is gonna be tough

obs Schar a huge loss as well

more hopeful of a draw than confident

would rather win this trophy than qualify for Europe

We qualify for the Europa if you win the League Cup, don’t you?

I’d certainly take that over finishing 4th. Both would be nice!

Gutting we're missing Bruno and Schar for this given how depleted Arsenal are. Feels like such a golden opportunity. If we can get out with a 1 goal deficit or less to take back home then we're winning the tie.

Who’s missing for Arsenal?

We would qualify for the Conference League if we win this. However, if we win this, then it might also take pressure off us as we’d go into April, and May knowing that no matter what happens, we will be in Europe next season. That might just be enough to let us loosen up, which may result in us nabbing a Champions League spot, or a Europa League spot.

Looks like they have Sterling, White, Saka, Nwaneri, Tomiyasu out.

Havertz 50/50

Timber's on that list but looks to have been suspended for their last league game and can play now.

Whereas we have Wilson, Schar, Bruno, Lascelles, Pope and Krafth out with Botman rated 75%

2 Likely starters both with ready made replacements. Hardly decimated. Would rather all four of them available an Odegaard out TBH.

More that RW that they're looking light on now. Both their starter and their upcoming young backup being out is a good thing for us.

Not that it really matters given Lewis Hall is fucking mint

They’re missing 2x RB and 2x RW, so what normally is an area that we struggle with when playing them at the Emirates is an opportunity this time. Just hoping Gordon is fit as having him and Hall against a makeshift right side for Arsenal could be useful

Not sure what I would enjoy more, winning tonight to set us up with a great chance to get to another final, or winning to put a stop to the ridiculous idea that we can't win a game without Bruno!

Thanks for this, I was absolutely convinced this was tomorrow for some reason  definitely would've missed it

With the Isak thing. It's like the media resent us having one of the best forwards in world football.

Who do we think replaces Bruno? Miley could be a shout with his passing range but i just don't see Howe taking that kind of risk with such an important game.

Be surprised if they went full strength tonight (as much as they can). They’ve got 8 games between now and the second leg including Man United on Sunday followed by Spurs on the Wednesday. Just don’t think they’ll prioritise this over the league, FA Cup and Champions League.

Will undoubtedly be wrong like.

It's only a ridiculous idea if it hasn't been proven to be the case. It would be great to put it to bed but it's a fair label as things stand

Won't happen but i'd like to see Barnes in the #10 role tonight in the absence of Bruno

Why, out of interest?

I’m one of Barnes’ biggest fans on here. But nothing about his skillset screams number 10, to me?

Very intrigued to see how that works out. We'll obviously miss Bruno's ability as a conductor, but it will increase our running power and defensive rigidity. Ultimately it might result in us defending too much though as I can see the ball getting lost in possession a lot more than usual.

Because he's one of our more creative players and a genuine goal threat with both feet. Nothing more than that really.

We lose so much creativity without Bruno in the side so unless we're planning on parking the bus (not Eddie's style) that creativity ideally needs replacing. I'm not suggesting a like-for-like swap for Bruno, i'm suggesting a more advanced role behind Isak.

I'm basically trying to come up with alternatives to starting Longstaff in midfield
