All logic and common sense suggests that this should be straightforward but I have a sinking feeling.

I would say they have threat on the counter. They still have their three most dangerous players on the pitch.

We just have to aim to dominate the ball and smother them before they have a chance to pick us off. Don’t want to be letting Botman and Burn get exposed.

Maybe in their current form? But surely Maddison and Son is their most dangerous normally.

Kelly had a poor game against West Ham but he's mostly been what was expected - a decent backup defender on a free.

Not sure that's the role he envisaged when he signed.

Yeah, at the moment. Although not convinced by Maddison because of the weakness he introduces into midfield.

I hate how lopsided this all looks, my anxiety is going crazy because my brain is telling me to be confident, but also realises that if we don't win, I may have to go into hiding.

He must’ve known Botman was the first choice LCB by a mile.

He's not really the back up either though, Dan Burn is. I think he would have signed expecting to wait his turn, but not being picked today would probably hurt a bit.

Expecting some defensive lapses and a couple of goals conceded today. 2-2 would be a decent result.

No it wouldn’t

He knew he was coming in as a backup and is getting his paycheck. Dont think he is going to cry himself to sleep.

I've come to the pure panic phase of the pre match ritual now. Heart rate climbing nicely. God. Just so used to us fucking these sort of games up man

Well I guess that's the end of the conversation.
