Think that would be a mistake. We aren't going to win the possession battle so we should just go with raw end product. We could set out a plan to concede possession over the 90 mins - which will happen anyway - but just beat them with sheer end product.

Barnes-Isak-Murphy might not give you flowing football, but there's a potential winning goal or two if we can keep it tight at the back.

Howe will be looking for protection down that side and Barnes won't provide that

                                Dubs

Trippier        Krafth           Burn      Targett/tino

      Tonali.            Bruno.       Joelinton

    Murphy.           Wilson.           Isak

Playing isak against TAA will expose him giving Liverpool a massive problem, and playing Wilson and isak is not something that Liverpool would be prepared for.

I think you need at least one left footer on that side so I'd be prepared to play targett, however defensively a right footed leftback might deal with Salah better than a lefty

Krafth in for me, never puts a foot wrong and we always look more solid with him in there. Schar and burn together will get destroyed

I would start with Barnes - this is his moment

If we start with 4 at the back, we lose IMO.

Schar and Burn look terrible right now.

Doing the same thing, will only give us the same results.

Kraft’s benefitting massively from not playing at the moment. Give him a run of ten games and it’ll be back to ‘not good enough’.

As ever, the truth is always somewhere in the middle.

Solved the goalkeeping issue, no worries.

I'm choosing to believe that this is an elite misinformation campaign from the club to lull Liverpool into a false sense of security. They put out the reserves thinking it'll be a walkover, then the squads are released and BAM

- Isak plays

- Hall plays

- Botman plays

- We secretly signed an elite GK and RW in January

- We actually did appeal Gordon's ban, and it was double upheld so we start 1-0 up to compensate for the distress caused

5-0, Salah in tears, somewhere in Germany Klopp falls to his knees, Tindall spends the next 72 hours on a London bender in spearmint rhino

Fixed

Tripps.       Schar.        Burn.      Tino (Man marking Salah)

                       Sandro
           Bruno                 Big Joe

Murph              Isak                  Barnes (Fingers Crossed he turns up)

Sandro is Key in sitting in deep to protect the slow coaches at the back.

I think Tino should be a better match for Salah, with him being right footed and slightly faster than Hall.

That Middle three and Isak are a match - it's if Murphy and Barnes show up.

But fuck knows....

That’s negative as fuck.

But potentially shithousetastic. I don't see us standing a better chance opening up and trying to play beautiful expansive football with the personnel we have available.  Heroic rearguard action and win 1-0 after 93 minutes with a horrible goal line bundle and 18% overall possession for me

I remember the cup finals of the 90s but my childhood brain can’t remember how much of an underdog we were then.

how does then compare to now? Which out of the last 4 was our best opportunity?

Can we not slot Ruddy in there between Pope and Dubravka? Fuck Longstaff off

Best opportunity - Man Utd 23

2nd - Man Utd 99 (as they were resting players ahead of Euro final)

3rd = Arsenal 98 and Liverpool 25

I fancy us to score at least in this one.

Would have said we have way more chance in this one than in the 90s two
