Why would anyone want us to not qualify for Europe?  We might as well stop following football if qualifying for European competition is seen as a bogey prize.

Because the prize money and exposure doesn’t weigh up to the crippling effects for next season. CL is crucial for our development. Not getting it this year would be annoying. Qualifying for Europa League and playjng an extra 15+ games for little benefit would almost certainly lead to failing to qualify for CL again next season for the season after. As I said, it’s CL or bust for me. I appreciate and respect others may hold a different view.

You didn't say that. You said its on Howe. Very different.

I've never said anyone isn't entitled to their opinion, in the same way I'm entitled to laugh at their opinion.

1-0 to you then, remember your opinion on multicultural stuff from a while back. Hope you’re better than you were then.

Trippier making it so easy for them on the first two goals just puts us in a hole so early.

Willock being so anonymous in the middle of the pitch both going forward and defending, just invites a ton of pressure.

I think the fact they were both yanked off at the half was a pretty clear indicator of what the manager thinks too.

Yup, Eddie somewhat admitting he got it wrong too.

What's really shit is that City had a slight wobble and could spend hundreds of millions in one window and start to correct course.

We've been playing by these farcical rules and haven't been able to strengthen in numerous windows. FFP can't excuse poor footballing displays, but it's the reason why we're still miles behind the likes of City when in reality, there's nothing holding us back from spending wisely.

We can't even take slightly risky punts on potential reinforcements for the fear of getting raked across the coals. Fucking depressing

Fair enough - but for me there is a benefit.  I get to see NUFC in Europe :)

They were about a 2/10. The rest were 3s and 4s. Hardly worth singling those two out.

Easy subs to make, anyway. Willock isn’t a first teamer for us any more and Trippier hasn’t been for a while. Based on this, it’s easy to see why.

Like I said. They were crap. But it’s not just them ‘letting Eddie down’. To a man, they have been absolutely horrendous.

Not sure if that says more about how we’ve been set up and so Howe being the one letting the players down. Or is it a lack of effort with the cup final coming up. Maybe a bit of both?

Those limitations are what people are discussing if it will prevent us from taking a step up.

So just to be absolutely clear, anyone who isn't perfect has limitations right?

Howe has done an almost impeccable job since being here. Must have loads of them limitations.

Hate it when Gordon looks uninterested.

Same.

I know he is obviously interested, but he has games where it looks like it doesn't come off for him and he just goes through the motions.

The whole team is doing the same tbf, although Miley looks keen.

And we'll done for bringing that up. If I wasn't so strong minded I'd kick off but I won't. I don't want people banned for the things they say.
