It seems the plan was to kill the game second half, but we ended up becoming too passive and nearly paid for it with some sloppy box defending.

Aye, but when you’re as bad on the ball as we are, it’s hard to do.

Very important win but it's been increasingly evident this season that there's a mentality issue in the side.

We aren't good enough technically to see games out at half pace.

I want to know who give the instructions to play deep that second half as the way the first half went, I can't see the players just coming up with playing deep. We tore them apart first half and that should have been the attitude the second half also, not sitting basically on your own 18 yard box

Wasn’t at fault for any of the goals, why do you single him out?

He’s been sloppy and slow to react for a while now. His passing is a bit yikes now too.

Because he’s been really poor all season, and again today whereas the rest of the back 4 haven’t ?

For how poor we where second half, did they actually create anything in open play? All of their threat came from set-pieces.

I said earlier but that to have been an instruction from Eddie, right? Reserve energy, control the game? Except the players took the 'reserve energy' too literally, and everyone stopped running, and chasing and just let Forest find their feet.

Games like today are why I still feel nervous when we have a strong lead.

Can only think we Howe instructed them to preserve energy second half, only issue with that is we are absolutely shocking at keeping the ball.

I said this to the wife at half time.  We are hopeless at defending/controlling games.  We just haven't got the technical players to play that way.  Some blame Eddie's tactics but it's all on the players.

Botman can’t come back quick enough. Schar is awful.

Burn was even worse today, his passing and stupid ball play put us in danger a few times. Neither should be first choice next year.

Chuffed with a win that to be honest I wasn’t expecting, but Jesus that second half performance. The decision making and complete lack of being able to do anything to combat the changes Forest made at half time was extremely concerning. Awful passing and trying to keep ahold of the ball when under pressure from the likes of Schar and Tino. Bruno just disappeared.

This guy is one of the biggest culprits when things are going well.

Just stops making an effort and starts getting too playful with his passing.

Schar, Bruno, Willock and Isak are very lackadaisical when we are on top. It is so terrible man.

Team cannot be trusted to see a game out comfortably. This is an awful trait to have.

Agree mostly, but Isak gets a pass from me, because that's how he gets clear of defenders. The rest aren't forwards, they have to look after the ball better.

We're a team with some parts of it functioning brilliantly and some barely functioning at all.  At centre back both today were really struggling , Pope's shot mentally and it's increasingly looking that initial period of brilliance after he first joined was a form spell.  In midfield if the ref's letting stuff go and we haven't got Joelinton we really struggle with the muck and bullets aspects of the game. Livramento needs to be educated on how to defend. That being said Gordon, Hall, Isak, Miley, Tonali and Willock in attacking phases did well. We need a rebuild. We've needed too since last summer. If we can get a trophy or Champions League  this season it's a huge credit to the better parts of the side and the manager. If we somehow get both they should give Eddie a statue.

Once we got a bit more of a handle on it I did start to relax a bit, I thought we'd done enough and might pinch a fifth on the break. The way we surrendered that control again was horrendous

They should've started Yates. He's not very good but he rattles us.

The defending and overall approach to that second half was so half-arsed that I'm not even sure we would have deserved a draw let alone a win. It was like they decided they didn't need to do even the basics.

Definitely looked nothing like a match between two teams fighting for Champions League places, albeit the quality throughout the league this season has dropped significantly.

Pope: 5.5

Livramento: 5.5

Schär: 4.5

Burn: 4.5

Hall: 8

Bruno: 5

Willock: 6.5 Tonali: 7

Miley: 6.5

Gordon: 6

Isak: 7.5

Murphy: 5.5
