It’s not happening without 2 new first team players. Resigned to that now. Lots of shit wins between now and end of May please.

yeah i'm more bothered about results than performaces for the moment.

morale boost worth more than the 3 points from this game.

for the players and the fans.

agree with that. it wasn’t pretty, and there was a fair few performances worth forgetting, 3 points and a bit of relief is enough

Thought that was the cliched good solid away performance. Defended well and deserved to win despite being nowhere near our best.

Think we got lucky with the goal. Isak didn't even try to play the ball and just pushed him and the ref gave fouls from softer pushes after the goal.

I didn’t see the game last night but just watched the extended highlights. I can’t imagine how stressful it must have been on here in those final minutes when Murphy and Longstaff were giving those simple passes away [emoji38]

I’ve never seen three subs come on and look more knackered than the rest of the team.

We’re going to need our subs bench for rest of season to get us the required points, even at the weekend in the final. So they better pull their finger out.

You have to pretty much bodyslam someone in the box for VAR to intervene nowadays. Isak's done it a couple times this season.

Monday night

Away

In London

3 points

That. Is. All

Having said that 😂😂

Was a nerve jangler. I lost count of the number of times we gave unforced errors. Some howlers.

Prime example was that Kudos chance from a knocked on header. I think Trippier played him onside but both Schar AND Burn going for the same ball and fucking it up was tragic. Schar should've been on Kudos' shoulder, if anything.

Done 8 Aldi stubbies in 😂

Surprised we haven't made any subs here like. With Miley, Willock and Longstaff on the bench I'd have thought Tonali and Big Joe would be taken off with Sunday in mind.

The quality of the subs we have isn't as good as many make out.  It's no surprise Howe is reluctant at making them.

Was Bunce in the dressing room photo and in the video of them all walking back in? Certainly looked like him.

At least him and Howe don’t hate each other after all   like was made out earlier in the season, the same as with Mitchell.

He’s been in all of them so far this season.

14 wins in 19 with a cup final in a few days “without playing well”. You’d think after decades of being crap and losing we’d actually try and enjoy times like this but apparently not.

Well said.

We have a very good first 11 (when they are alll fit) and a couple on the bench that merrit their place.  Otherwise the squad does not reflect the position we are in.  You have to give Howe, his team and the players a lot of credit for that.  We have basically performed at a high level for over 2 seasons, with very little investment in the squad for the last 3 windows.

I think people forget where we were, and how far we have come.

We are asking a lot of these players right now, and we should acknowledge that.  Irrespective of the result on Sunday, we have done well to get to another final.  Win or lose, it is progress.

If the players can somehow get to the end of the season and finish in Europe, that is a massive achievement.  Everyone at the club knows we have to invest now, and I just hope that they have some creative ideas in the pipeline as the squad needs a massive refresh and new faces.  If we can achieve that, we can really push on.

It could've been given but I don't think it was a push. Defender feels the hands on his back and propels himself forward to try and win the free kick.

Not just last night. It's been happening all too often in recent games, careless passing, losing possession and turning into trouble in and around our own box.
