Just for the record Local Hero is the name of the movie. Song is called Going Home.

Always annoys me more that it ever should. Think it’s because I was such a big fan of the movie when it come out and so many of our fans have never even watched it

I was never much of a one for the film - or the theme tbh.  I was always in full agreement with The Mag complaining about it being played by Barry in the Box before kick off.  Sorry all :)

"The Lads Are Hot" - (cant remember) & the lads . The lads being our team part way through the 92/93 promotion season.

Suggestion rather than recommendation.

The official 98 final song wasn't bad. Black and White Army.

Stretches

We Wish You Well - Whitesnake. Played at the end of the matches in the 93/94 season and Keegan used to end his interviews with "wish you well", Simply the Best used to play regularly at the time too.  Thats Entertainment - was either a piece on netbusters the week after or the end credits of the Oldham away game in 93/94 when the "Entertainers" moniker stuck.  Being Boring by the Pet Shop Boys because the video mentions Newcastle and apart from the season it was released its true 'we were never being boring' - was so proud seeing that on pan-European Satellite Jukebox.

While were on the subject Does anybody have Merci Daveed by Busker?

I know they only started in Newcastle rather than being from Newcastle but The Coast is Always Changing by Maximo Park has a really Newcastle feeling about it imo.

I did a playlist of local bands a while ago like, there might be stuff on here you fancy.

On same rationale but of Lighthouse Family will ease the nerves and soothe the soul—maybe Ocean Drive
