I'm in work 9 minutes and the first words I hear from a Liverpool fan are "it's only the league cup." Seething he is. Bet they all lapped up Carragher's words about it being bigger than the FA Cup and are now backtracking like fuck.

Otherwise known as the first words out of every mackem mouth.

Emotion starting to hit now  think I'm finally starting to process this shit. When we scored our second I kind of went into a state of disbelief that lasted until I went to bed. Now I'm re-living everything and my god, I am not gonna do shit at work today

Pleased for you, man. Glad you bit the bullet after the disappointment and expense of two years ago. Maybe next time we’ll actually have that celebratory pint!

Such a weird day yesterday.

I was there in 2023 and the whole experience was just sensory overload and in the end it got the better of the team and fans alike.

I was at home this time with family and spent all day shitting and going on random walks to the shop or doing chores to keep me away from here or any social media. No getting wrapped up in excitement just thinking about the task in hand ( although that Brian Johnson vid nearly sent me over)

Not sure what I want to say, it just felt l like our time, and we wanted it more.

And ultimately, we deserved it.

Yeah. From Saturday to Sunday I just had it in my head that I was celebrating after the match.

I arrived in Newcastle at about midday, the Metro had people on going into Newcastle all wearing shirts etc. In town it was like pockets of people gathering but plenty of empty streets. You just got the feeling that this city was about to explode.

You know what, we did it the hard way as well, Nottingham Forest, Chelsea, Brentford, Arsenal X2, and Liverpool were all beaten on the way, and a honourable mention to Wimbledon who were robbed of a home tie.

Well that was wild

Spent most of the day in Berghain dancing with loads of canny lads with their tarps arf

Nipped out from the disco to watch the match backstage with Samuel Fender. Much emotion, not gonna lie

Danced about at his gig, shouting HOWAY ZEEE LADDDZ at anyone in a toon shirt

Went back to Berghain, danced with a bloke in a wetsuit

Currently on my way to Amsterdam, questioning my life choices but in high spirits
