Ameritoon
After about 24 hours of ecstasy, I think it finally sunk in for me last night. Mostly because I watched a bunch of reaction videos and saw how much it meant to so many people. For a while on Sunday it felt like it was too good to be true, after all those years we spent waiting suddenly it was just over I think I'll always remember the moment Isak scored, ging to be on a high for months now, fucking worth the wait. AJ9
I loved Dan Burn’s goal, but I felt the emotion more for Isak’s goal. I just burst into tears/laughter saying to my boy, “theyre going to do it!”. That moment of realising we would probably win the fucker was so overwhelming.

I think the disallowed goal just before helped the emotions feel even greater and the fact it’s the cushion of a second goal on top. I was still stewing off the disallowed goal and how that might have been our shot. They had already played better in the first 3 minutes of the second half. Than they had the whole of the first. Then that gets chalked off and you start to have your doubts. Then Isak scores a worldy and everyone loses their minds. I believe my exact words were “now try and rule that one out you cunts.” I then suddenly had a nervous wait for the replay. Thinking VAR was going to chalk it off again I also think the relief and emotion was amplified at full time due to their late goal. As opposed to cruising to a win. It suddenly meant much more. HaydnNUFC
In the ground for the disallowed one, my arms went up in celebration but froze in a split second as I saw the flag go up in front of me as we were in the lower bit but also saw a few rows in front and a bit along someone's chips go flying up in the air. Absolutely screaming at the TV - "YEEEES! FUCKING CHALK THAT ONE OFF YOU CUNTS. FUCKING GET IN!" then absolutely launched the thing I was holding at the TV screen which thankfully turned out to be a roll of kitchen roll

He's a cockney who joined us at 25, and played more games for Wimbledon than he did for us. Most of his time here was probably under Dalglish and Gulllit rather than Keegan or Robson, and yet he still says "we" when talking about Newcastle. There's definitely seems to be something about the club and the area that people just "get" even though none of them (until now!) won anything here at all. Osula picking Willock up and carrying him about twenty yards Dan Burn and Tripps embracing, about a foot and a half height difference Tonali smiling And as they go up to get the cup, absolutely love Trippier - "where's Jamaal?" to Bruno, making him hesitate to pick up the cup until the other Captain gets there... Tiotes Witch Doctor
I've barely slept a wink since the final, I spend my days scrolling through socials for more cup final content, I've watched the full game 3 times and I just can't switch my brain off, it's becoming a problem
Scotty66
Also I can say it now as I didn't want to tempt fate before but I really felt we would win it this time, it just felt different. I was a wreck before the Man Utd final, this time I felt a little relaxed. Everyone and everyone expected Liverpool to win it with ease and football just isn't like that, if it was that easy we would all be millionaires from betting on it. With hindsight now obviously but you could just see everything falling into place, the defeat for them against PSG, the calmness around our squad and the lack of media hysteria compare to last time, the fact we played them a few weeks before and you just knew Eddie had a few tricks up his sleeve to confuse them. It was perfect, what a performance. I also had a dream Willock scored the winner so just had to put a small bet on him scoring when he came on. The College Dropout
I’m the same - some variation of ‘rule that one off’. That feeling of righteous indignation. That ruled off one should’ve stood.
Yorkie
I'm comparing magic with magic but, of the two, Burn's was the more incredible moment for me. If the gusto behind the Isak celebrations was accountable to the sense of "holy shit, we're actually gonna do it," then that is what I'd already felt with Burn's. I believed we'd win the cup and that goal was an emphatic confirmation. I also knacked my throat when celebrating the disallowed effort, so I was in physical pain cheering the decisive 'third'. I love that we also got to celebrate the final whistle like a goal; the jeopardy of their late push really elevated that moment into an emotional crescendo. Of course - it would've been amazing even if we were 4-0 up in injury time - but FT on Sunday was an intense collision between relief and a very new/unique euphoria. Epic. Just epic. I'm ravenous for more now and don't fear becoming desensitised should more glory come our way, but we'll never feel anything quite like that again. It's impossible. bigfella
BOTH goals were absolutely TEXT BOOK examples of the correct execution of their type: Burn's the best header you'll ever see and Isak's a perfect example of a controlled half volley.
