So how are we all feeling this morning?

I don't feel it fully sunk in yet with me, you spend a life time hoping for something to happen, and i am pretty confident we've got bigger things also coming our way but to actually finally win a trophy almost feels like something that's not supposed to happen.

In a way its relief, but also upon reflecting we've had some amazing moments and matches in the last few years that also felt incredible even thought they weren't titles, and I'm very happy it's the same group of lads and manager that provided those moments that got to lift a trophy.

Feels like a new start tbh, like this team doesn't have to prove anything any more.

On reflection, the only tiny downside for me about this win was that it ended up only being 2-1. Isak was a whisker away from converting Barnes cross which would have made it 3-0, and that would have been such a fitting scoreline for so many reasons. But 'tis a minor quibble tbh.

I think Barnes as well not slipping it under their keeper from that little barnsy angle that he likes robbed us of a deserved scoreline.....but fuck it, I would have taken owt

Congratulations, well deserved.

Didn't watch the game but from watching the highlights looks like Barnes had a good game.

He played really well, nothing too fancy but a great cross and just tidy play

Like everyone, it seems, I'm devouring so much content my eyes are stinging :pedro:

Canny little bits you miss first time around then catch on a further viewing. Like Gordon sprinting on at the end of the game here

11:12  Can just see him behind Howe and Slot

I just noticed the intelligence trippier showed when he drops off to allow Diaz to drift offside. Trippier had a an excellent game, put it all on the line.

It just feels so massive. To beat Liverpool, to overcome some major set backs in recent weeks. To have beaten the top four on the run to that cup. To have dominated the match. To have scored two uncontroversial goals  and have completely deserved it. To have done it with players who were here before the takeover who played key roles. This club has changed forever in the space of three and a bit years

Yeah, TBH part of me thought that the League Cup wouldn't feel major, but I was an idiot. Feels like a weight off the whole club and levelling-up of how we can think of ourselves.

So glad we didn’t fluke a cup win with Pardew around the time Birmingham, Swansea, and Wigan were all winning trophies. This is how it was meant to be.

One of the best days of my life yesterday. Incredible performance and domination of one the best teams on the planet.

Seeing our name getting etched on to that trophy too, that's when it proper hit me!

Was in tears at the end, town was insane, especially outside of St James park.

Partied until 5am, feel hungover as fuck but 2 paracetamols and a takeaway will bring me back to life.

It's still sinking in, we're just not used to this feeling. Full of so much joy, I love it

We’ve heard that horrible sound in Wembley over the years where the other half of the stadium erupts. It was strange to be in the end making the noise. I wish I could hear what it sounded like from the other side

Just remembering how class the Fender singalong during the trophy celebrations was. :aww:

No idea if they showed it on the telly but I loved our scarf waving when YNWA was being played before the match

Today everything feels different, nature has healed itself, the monkey on our back has been hoyed in the sea, we are no longer serial losers and this is only the beginning.
