I had plans last night so wasn't able to go to the town moor, but had booked a haircut in for yesterday back in January so was in town anyway. I've genuinely never seen anyhting like it, Newcastle has a reputation for being a party city and I don't think it'll ever see a party this big ever again unless we win the Premier League.

All these people claiming "It's just the Carabao Cup" can go fuck themselves - yesterday showed how much it meant to this city and this team.

My haircut finished at 4 so I thought I wasn't going to be able to find a good spot to watch the parade from, but thought I'd head through Eldon Square up to Eldon Gardens and see if I could go down to the car park behind the multistorey and catch a glimpse of the bus from there. On my way I found a bunch of people huddled around a window on the bridge overlooking Percy Street and couldn't believe my luck - I'm tall as fuck so slotted in behind them and had a mint view - the bus went by directly below us!

But this is why my username was originally Yorkie-Geordie! I just wanted to be one.

Where are you from Yorkie? I was born in Hexham and spent first few years of my life in Prudhoe before family moved away for work. I'm incredibly proud of being 'from' the NE even though I didnt have my formative years there. Day's like yesterday just reinforce it.

I knew it was going to be something special yesterday as I was at the Grainger Market early doors, and people of all ages were pouring into the city. There was a definitive buzz about the place.

My son went to the Moor with his pals and I watched from the Central Motoway with my wife and daughter, neither who are football fans.....they seemed more giddy than I was in all honesty.

Magical day and atmosphere, I just wished my Dad who passed away in January, was there to see it. Let's win some more!

I'm from a town called Pickering in North Yorkshire and now live in York, but my Dad's family is all Newcastle. He grew up in Jarrow.
