christ Posted yesterday at 21:06 Share Posted yesterday at 21:06 As average as we were in parts we had three or four gilt edge chances that we fucked up due to farcical decision making. A bit more clinical and that’s a rout.

Really massive win that. Class result, keeps Champions League in our own hands.

Pilko Posted yesterday at 21:08 Share Posted yesterday at 21:08 Good win that, if not the most fluid. We definitely created more good chances than they did and played well in patches. Bit ropey between the pen and Sandro's howitzer but largely managed it well other than the Schade chance at the death I thought.

HaydnNUFC Posted yesterday at 21:10 Share Posted yesterday at 21:10 Didn't particularly play well against a good side yet came out with 3 points. Happy with that. Sandro, what a goal. What a player.

I think the result is the main thing tonight, tricky opposition, tricky timing after all the celebrations. Back to training and onto to Leicester. Should have hit it with his left after the shimmy, but he has immense footwork. He's a joy to watch. Teams shit themselves a bit when he's on the pitch and they get a lift when he goes off. Will be nice when we have a quality backup for Isak and a top quality right wing player too.

TK-421 Posted yesterday at 21:12 Share Posted yesterday at 21:12 (edited) Strange one tonight. Brentford have been on a decent run, but at times felt like we made our own problems again, giving the ball away cheaply at times, and there was still the worry about 'after the lord mayors parade' and all that. But we had loads of half chances, with an annoying reluctance to shoot at times, just taking that extra touch (or three). But at the end of the day, a win is a win, and we move on and hopefully learn from it. Wilson though. Just don't see what he offers us right now. Not exactly good at holding the ball up, doesn't/can't take anyone on, and hasn't got the legs to run onto long balls anymore, as he's always beaten to them. Osula has to be worth a chance soon, shirley?? But Tonali's goal. Looked like a cross, but the more you see, it looks deliberate. Almost Beardsley-esque. Anyway, onwards, to Leicester. Kilcline Posted yesterday at 21:16 Share Posted yesterday at 21:16 One of the worst games in terms of quality I've seen in a while, and you'll find me at National League, Northern League, Sunday pub league down the rec, etc... But job done and on we go. Think Brentford play some decent patterns that match up with us well, they're a good side. We'll be in the Champions League next year no panic, got that out our system tonight and did what we needed.
