Not sure Trippier has the engine to play RWB especially if not fully fit. Reckon he’d go back to 4-3-3.

Is it confirmed they are missing their first choice defenders?

I'm not sure I'd play 3-4-3 at home to Everton mind.

I love 3-4-3 anyway, but I think it matches up really nicely against a defensive 4-2-3-1 where you need to dominate the ball and create chances.

Because it’s too defensive? Doesn’t have to be if you get the wing backs up and press into midfield with the CBs.

Totally agree. We control the game so much more when playing 3-4-3, would help to quell any early nerves

It's fine if you play it all the time, not so much when you've only ever used it as an adaptive system to play on the break or due to personnel availability like we have.

Think part the reason we struggled second half against Chelsea was because we'd been set up in a 3-4-3 and then suddenly had an issue with the extra man and needing to be the more proactive side.

I don't think I'd want to play it at home to Everton personally.

Dont think we have 3 cms good enough to play 4-3-3

Can't see a world where Isak doesn't start tbh, even if 50% fit.

1 more game.

Depends if it'll risk making the injury worse

We seem a lot more comfortable playing the 3-4-3 or 5-2-3 formation and get a lot more overlaps down the sides.

Everton have a slowish defence and with Braithwaite out I would be up for keeping this same formation.

If Trippier is back then a 4-3-3 is decent, but it´s the left side middle of the park that bothers me; I don´t like either of Willock or Miley in there, they don´t elevate our game in any way...

If Everton have a defence which lacks pace then we need to hit them with pace. Might be a factor for starting Willock over Miley if either of them is being considered.

It was infuriating watching crosses coming in against Arsenal when we had no one busting a gut to get in the penalty area last week.
