Eddie Howe's side will discover their schedule for the 2025/26 campaign when the fixtures are released at 9am (BST) on Wednesday, 18th June.

The Magpies, who finished in fifth place last season, will play their opening Premier League fixture across the weekend of Saturday, 16th August.

The final round of matches is scheduled to take place on Sunday, 24th May, all kicking off simultaneously, and the season will consist of 33 weekends and five midweek slots. Please note there will be no games on Christmas Eve.

As always, who do people think we'll get on:

Opening Game

Boxing Day

Last Game

Apparently the rugby World Cup is on at Sunderland during the second week, so that suggests we’ll be away first.

let’s go:

Man Utd away first

Leeds at home boxing day

Arsenal away last day

I want to avoid being the first team at Everton’s new ground, and the first to play them midweek under the lights.

I’d be happy having someone like Brighton, or Bournemouth away first, somewhere where we usually lose, get it over and done with, hopefully we can catch them before they get going. The same applies for Liverpool, Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea etc.

Want one of the 'big' sides at home. Chelsea, Spurs, Man Utd. Get the boys up to speed early on.

Would like us to have a strong start for once, feels we always start off iffy (sometimes not helped by having hard games) but say opening 7 games and it's 17 points unbeaten sort of start. Feels we're overdue putting a marker down early because we can hook it up mid-season, at which point it's too late.

I actually think we’ll get Spurs or Arsenal away first. This would mean that Sunderland would get the other at home.

We’ve only been away from home in the PL on the opening day once in the last 10 seasons. And it was during COVID.

Hyem on Boxing Day and final day please.

Not that I think the Premier league hate us but I reckon the opening  day we'll have Liverpool away at Midday, then Man City away at 3pm then Arsenal away at 8pm.
