Think I'm on board with Wissa & Sesko in for £30-40m less than we get for Isak now. Assuming we'd still have our normal budget left to get us a top CB & CM.

Aye it’s why I clarified with “clearly bs”. They posted that at 11 this morning saying there’d be an official announcement in a few hours and there hasn’t been one. Around £39m-£40m seems like what it’ll end up being though.

I'm more than happy with us signing Wissa, I think he's a quality Wilson replacement, but if we're to sign Sesko too that almost guarantees Isak leaving and the optics of that are irreparable. I get that allowing him to leave is probably damage control and Howe has the team harmony at the top of his list, but selling to a team we want to be direct rivals with just implies we're not rivals and still a feeder club, that's my perspective.
